How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

My bed felt like it was on an incline because I kept sliding down to bottom. Would love to have had an option for queen beds. There were some ants and bugs in the room. Breakfast was just okay. Would have liked to have eggs, sausage, etc like most hotels do now for their free breakfast. Parking was scarce. I came in later one night and was lucky to find a spot. Vending machine near my room was empty. Wifi was TERRIBLE. I had to use my mobile data the whole time we were there.
Great place, especially for the money. Felt like a safe area. My room was nicely decorated and extremely clean. Outlet situation was good. The pool area was nice, with tables/umbrellas and chairs. All employees I encountered were friendly and helpful.

The bed was a little hard and wasn't as big as I thought.
The location and where everything was. The people were great and the breakfast was excellent.

Coffee at breakfast wasn't great. Really not much else to critique.
Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of fresh fruit (strawberries) as well as biscuits, cereal, waffles - lots of yogurt, etc. Rooms are very clean and well kept.

The guy who fired up his car in the early morning for 45 minutes and filled the nearby exterior room doors with car flumes was not pleasant. Not blaming the hotel about a person's lack of courtesy.
Perfect location to the Hickory Metro Convention Center and nearby restaurants, etc.

Rooms were a little too small and the lighting inadequate. Also, the lighting in the bathroom, it looks modern, with the bulbs behind the mirror, yo cannot see your face in details; especially women putting on make-up. It also needs another mirror attached to the door, so women can see their back while doing hair.
John, at the desk, deserves a 5.5 out of 5 stars. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We were given a room recently renovated, which was excellent, except that was next to the vending machines. We could not sleep the first night. In the morning, I went and talked with him, and immediately he moved us in another room. The other 2 nights were great to sleep; no noise at all (we stayed 3 nights). When you book, ask for John: he will take care of you.

The walls are paper thin, unfortunately, was woke at 6 am to large dog barking, then a neighboring.room tennant with a really bad cough every minute for about 30 min following.
The continental breakfast was very good.

All was good. No complaints.
While the room was older it had been updated somewhat and was comfortable and clean. We only needed the room for sleeping and requested one in the back so it was quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had good variety.

Extra trashcan in the room

had requested first floor outside room but arrived late and only second floor rooms were available.

This hotel has the two most important things for me. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly! John is the most kind person and even being a low cost hotel they made everything perfect. Sthepen breakfast was good, room clean ( I’m very pick) and the price was great! Would definitely recommend.
