It's definitely loud as it's downtown, and we are aware there are unhoused people nearby and yet we did not feel unsafe. Some of the noise on the front side of the building lessens after the wee hours, but picks back up in the morning. The washrooms could use better ventilation but for an older building, it's good. There was a slight mustiness due to the carpeting, but once we are in our room, we don't notice it much anymore.

The location is walking distance to the BART and F Streetcar, and also to the Wooden Trolley! Lots of food options nearby. It's mobility-accessible, and we loved that there are lockers for customers to enjoy safe bag storage before or after checking in /out. The washroom is decently sized. For being in an older building, we did not get room/room noise transfer so we slept well. Beds are comfortable and 4 pillows on each bed!

Lots of homelessness in area - although we experienced no problems - just not good to see. Unfortunately no restaurant at location. Continental breakfast a bit monotonous, yogurt, apple, muffins available each day - better than nothing at all though!!

Great location for us - close to bus, tram, metro, train station. Some good cafe/restaurants within easy walking distance - Cafe Mason for a great breakfast - Cafe Central for lunch sandwiches or salads. Subway/ burger king also close by and Panda express in Westfield food mall. Hotel staff exceptional, could not do enough for us - helped with travel plans around the city, booked us taxies and printed our boarding passeses. Held bags when arrived far too early for check-in and we left a bag securely whilst we went on cruise, returning 10 days later, which really helped us. Good shower, comfortable bed/room. . Would certainly return for another trip.

Very noisy outside especially at night (earplugs provided free of charge), a car alarm went on and off from 4am onward, some homeless people outside of the building. The area smells of urine which is a real shame as the location is fantastic otherwise.

Nice clean room and bathroom, lots of perfectly white fluffy towels, lots of pillows, very pleasant staff, free luggage storage before and after our stay, we were allowed to extend our stay by 3h without extra charge, small but tasty breakfast (to compliment it, we got some bread etc from a local bakery), access to coffees and tea all day long, complimentary wine on arrival, very close proximity to fisherman's wharf and public transport including cable car. Disney channel on TV. Coded doors (no risk of losing the card/key), fast WiFi.

Unclear when booking that it was a continental breakfast only. Unfortunate they had a beautiful kitchen but no food made.

Gorgeous decor, comfortable bed, very convenient location to union square and public transportation. Staff was extremely helpful and informative and accommodating.

You can definitely hear everything that is going on outside the hotel and too many homeless around the area and in front of the hotel at times.

The hotel and the staff was amazing. Need a better breakfast for sure but the hotel is amazing.

There are many junkies around the hotel, but the hotel is safe. Its fine during the day, but after sunset its not a good experience. Nothing happend to us, just did not feel safe outside. Rooms are smaller, but for 2 nights it was fine.

Hotel was very nice, personal was great - we got many good advices! Restaurant was not working, but we got tips where to buy food take away and eat it in the hotel.

Breakfast was very disappointing, only muffins, yogurt and apples every day. Coffee was good though. Also the bar and restaurant wasn't completed with renovations so looked empty and not too organised.

The hotel stuff was super friendly and helpful..The location wasn't great as lots of homeless people around the area, but transport was nearby to get you to places easily inc the airport.

Room overlooked a busy street with a lot of screaming from people outside, glass bottles shattering in the street, and sirens. This occurred all night long. The heater in our room did not work, nor did the outlets in the bathroom.

While we were given a bigger room at check in which we appreciated a few things didn't work. The air cond only threw cold air the TV didn't work and the shower kept dripping. We were moved to another room which was better but some lighting did not work. It's often the little things....

Very basic hotel, but perfect for a trip where you're mainly out sightseeing anyway. Incredible location, close to Union Square for shopping and the subway station for a direct link to the airport in only 30 mins. Bonus: The beds were insanely comfortable!

The room was very dark and smaller than what it looks on the pictures. For a four star hotel, I would have expected there would be a main light in the room. The lift was out of order for the three nights we were there, we were lucky to be put in a room that was on the second floor but the stairs up were very narrow for a suitcase.

The Elevator was still broke. I read that in reviews from a month ago and didn’t think they would not have fixed it yet. My daughter has a broken hip. Stairs are really steep. So it was not ideal… Be aware that the staff says, it will take another month or so to get a new elevator…

Generally a very nice Hotel. The style and the design are modern but comfortable. Location is in the City Center
