How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very limited towels and bedding, small rooms, breakfast food ran out several times and we had to wait for more.

The quiet, mid-morning walk "alone" downtown was very pleasant and peaceful so I can't really say we didn't like it necessarily, but its definitely something you'd have to get used to, nothing really opened until almost midday.
Downtown was very enjoyable, ran into the Cribb's 9th annual burger cook-off which was a delicious and a delightful surprise - we were in for Total Death Fest at Ground Zero the night before which was well worth the drive from VA, but would visit the area again just for the burgers.

The shower was partially clogged and water wouldn’t drain. There was always a man on a bike off the main road who would stare at you as you got out of the car. It was quite unsettling.
The cost of the hotel for what we got was worth it.

The bed was on the hard side. I didn't sleep well. Nor my husband. Also, the water pressure was very low. We thought it was something we did. It's was not a good experience in the shower.
Front desk check-in was very hospitable.

Some of the tables in breakfast area were dirty/sticky. The bathtub in my room needs an update, and there was hair on shower curtain, ( not mine)
There was a big selection of choices for breakfast. Food was tasty

The late-night manager did not understand how the reservation system worked and did not understand the hospitality industry. However, the day manager was excellent.
Excellent quality hotel for a Best Western.

Our shower didn’t work. We called the sweet lady at the front desk & she immediately gave us another room.

Only issue was cleanliness. Room still had bits on the floor, specifically a used q-tip (nasty) and an empty blister pack for Prilosec (sharp foil for my foot). My presumption is they vacuumed but didn’t care about anything the vacuum didn’t pick up.
It was fabulously quiet on the top floor. Everyone working there was so kind and extremely attentive to guests.

Sad how some visitors don’t respect the property & spilled things on floor & didn’t make effort to clean it or ask to have the spill cleaned & then it got tracked all over.
Pleasant feeling . The blue color theme but NOT too blue, in lobby. The rooms had pleasant vibe & everything we needed

Ice machine was very far away.

Very helpful staff, good beds, clean room, high quality bed sheets. Scrambled eggs made with normal eggs not scrambled egg from the carton.

The room was never cleaned. Had to go to service desk for clean towels, bedding. One of the workers made the excuse as low staff numbers. That is happening all over and companies need to make adjustments, instead of excuses.
Good selection at breakfast. However, it was obvious that the leftovers were used for the next day's meal. Food very salty. Bread products were not fresh.

The fold up couch didn't have bedding and none was in the room. Nor was their even enough towels in the room. Had to ask and then go back downstairs and get it. I guess that was a pain so late and tired but thankfully the manager got it handled

The dayshift FD person was a little rude over the phone. I initially called to extend with someone and they didnt need an additional card auth. This other person called back and said that person was new and they did in fact need the card auth form again. Just a little rude and abrasive. It was no issue in sending these things. A fuss was also made about a receipt. Yes, I need a receipt. We are a business and need the receipt for records.
Booked this location for a client who was waiting on her home to be completed. The hotel worked with us as we needed to extend the stay a few times due to construction delays. I was able to send over cc authorizations and take care of our client.
