The furniture is a little dated and worn and needs a little deep cleaning on the sofa area. Need to add chairs to the unit,

The location is in the middle of most restaurants and the pier park is within walking distance. The kids loved the location along with the adults. Staff super friendly sand helpful.

The room floor was FILTHY, we take our shoes off at home and my 3 year old immediately took his shoes off when we got in the room and within 5 mins of walking around his feet were JET BLACK, including hair being on the floor in numerous places throughout the condo. Day of departure took us over an hour to find a luggage cart which delayed us getting out of our room on time. Checkout time is too early and when I asked for an extended time of just an hour I was told they could only extend it for 30 mins which is very ridiculous considering you can not check in until at least 4pm and by that time you’ve already wasted a whole day that you’ve paid for the room; that needs to change because most people arrive early on their vacation and have things in their cars as well that shouldn’t be sitting in 90 degree weather all day especially when you pay the amount we did for the room and couldn’t even access the room until the day was almost over.

The bed was uncomfortable and then our pull out bed was pretty much no more than a prison cot and on top of that was broke. Reported several times and nothing was done until after our stay we was reimbursed $150 when I paid $1800 to stay 🙃

The property had an electrical problem and had generators keeping the power on, The fumes were very strong. The condo needed a better cleaning the floors were very dirty.

The parking was terrible with access to garage across the street. Scanning in was difficult and so many people had problems that usually a security guard had to be there to help people work the scanner for both in and exit. Also front desk wasn't helpful on first day. Asked where we booked our room through and then said well you should have booked directly with Calypso and you wouldn't have had that problem. Said our wrist bands were in the room but next day they had our envelope with our names on it at front desk. Elevators are very slow and frequently get backed up. The helicopters that fly out of the pier are also very loud and fly non-stop all day. We had 3 coffee makers in the room but no Keurig machine as we had brought our k-cups from home.

The Calypso has a very confusing drill to get to your room: The parking garage requires a crazy entry/exit bar code to open the swing gate--and the code reader often did NOT work. Then you have elevators plus a long corridor just to get to the main buildings, which are not marked clearly for rooms. You have to do another elevator drill and walk some more before you get to your unit. Our condo unit had a very poor window shade in the bedroom, so we had to hang up some towels in order to sleep due to the bright light outside our window. The washer worked okay but the dryer emitted a shrill squeaking noise constantly, and the dishwasher was as noisy as a "cheapie" model. Refrigerator required some repair by us, so we could use it to store our food. There was sand in the walkways, hallways, and everywhere so it got into your room too. No one seemed to be sweeping it up. Not coming back.

The condo could have been cleaner. The 2nd bed was not very comfortable. Glass door on shower was hard to slide and glass doors going out to balcony were very hard to slide.

The facility tower we were in loss power and our smoke alarms went off. We were told to remove the batteries out of the smoke detectors by the facility maintenance. We had to attempt to sleep with the doors and windows open for air. My family has allergies, so not having air made allergy symptoms worse. I asked for another room in another one of the towers that had power and was told no, because I had booked through Booking.com. We left the next morning. I will never stay there again.

1001W was not clean

We love the Calypso Resort, but the owner of unit 1001W needs to really clean it up & make necessary repairs. Especially for the amount they rent this unit for.

Condo 1605W poorly equipped with basic kitchen necessities and took 4 days to get a hair dryer in condo. Place was very dirty and had to spend several hours in room on first day while workers came to address complaints and clean. No beach service either for my unit. So far no comp or any partial refund for the overly expensive cleaning fee Waiting on Elevators/ and check in luggage racks lining the hallways was a nightmare.
