It can be a little frustrating that there isn't someone always at the front desk.

The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is beautiful! The room was spacious and very clean.

Dog in room next door barking all night and next door guests slamming door a dozen times all night long. I complained upon check out and the clerk said they could have moved US. I said Hotel Topeka could have moved the people causing NOISE!

The fridge didn't work in the room. It wasn't very clean. The carpet needed vacuumed behind the doors and the bathroom needed cleaned better

Pretty much everything else. My room smelled like smoke but not from tobacco. There was no food and the vending machines were all empty. The restaurant was lovely but they didn't serve food. There was a breakfast buffet and the food was edible at best and the coffee was just okay. The buffet didn't open until 7 am which felt rushed to make the opening session at 8 am. The rooms were dated but clean. The shower was 50% operational. The bar was centrally located but lacked certain bar-related ingredients. The hotel was limited to basic chips and drinks for purchase without any other sundries. I walked in and liked what I saw, but it all went downhill from there. If you are not used to having amenities when you travel - this will be an adequate stay for you.

Not much - The facility certainly was built to be a wonderful location by the overall appearance and parking was ample. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.

The treadmills had sticky stuff all over them. It got on my phone, room key, my hands etc. Super gross. The shower/tubs were gross, it looked like there was a pile of dirt in the tub at all times. Very dated.

The facility is in dire need to be remodeled. The room rate charged doesn't match up with the outdated decor. I went to a neighboring facility that cost less and the decor was more up to. date. I traveled to Topeka for a funeral and this hotel was recommended by a relative. However, it clear they have not seen the rooms in a very long time!

The bathroom was old and dingy, the tub was stained and didn't drain at all. Standing in 4 inches of water by the time the shower was finished.

The only reason I stay at this hotel is due to its proximity to my mother's home.

Air conditioning not working in first room. Moved to other room. We had 2 fans going n ice in front of fan to try to sleep. It was hot out but they had lots of complaints. Last night cooled off Little bit. Menu not good for dinner choices.

The Air Conditioning didn’t work, just blew like warm air so the whole hotel was hot and stuffy all week. It’s an older building that looks like it was once a top notch hotel but just not maintained over the years.

It’s conveniently located to downtown Topeka and the parking was free.

The bed size, they are uncomfortable. There weren’t enough towels. There was no extra blankets in the room. The paint was coming off above the ceiling in the shower.

The paint on the ceiling above the shower was coming down in a strip about 14 inches long. It looked like it had been repaired with a piece of tape that wasn’t holding. There were three of us checking in and I only had 2 towels. I was never told that by using my debit card that there would be a hold placed on my debit card for 327.10. There is a small sign but I didn’t read it or was I shown it when I gave my debit card. The hold was placed on my credit card for four days. That piece of information should have been told to me so I could have gone and withdrawn the money from an atm. I will never stay in this shoddy place again. The only thing that was a pleasant experience was the chef for breakfast. He was very kind and the breakfast was good. The beds were not very comfortable either. They were very small. Most hotels have gone to two queens instead of two full size beds. The view was also horrible. We looked out onto the air conditioners. The hotel was not very booked so there were other rooms available. We did not have a good experience.

The AC wasn’t very cold. They loaned us a fan. The toilet ran constantly. We couldn’t make it stop. The hair dryer didn’t work. The worst thing was, there was no housekeeping service. The sign in the bathroom said to leave the towels on the floor for replacement. No one ever came to replace them. Image our surprise when we got back in the evening to no clean towels. The front desk person said there was no housekeeping staff on duty. Wish we would’ve known that before we left the towels on the floor!

it seemed guests who booked through third parties were given worse treatment. Check in time was 4.00 pm and we had to wait for almost another hour before one was ready. (in the hotels defence we were given complimentary breakfast as compensation). We could see no reason for the delay as there weren’t many guests around. Room servicing was not up to scratch.
