On check it, we were told that we had been upgraded. Frankly, I'd hate to have seen where we originally were supposed to be because the "upgrade" didn't seem like it, rather it seemed like a very ordinary, regular room I would have expected. Moreover, the room was quite small, difficult actually for 2 people to move around in comfortably. The location while quiet, was entirely residential so there's really nothing around to walk to.

The Inn was easy to find and the room was clean and the location quiet.

The bathroom has no extraction fan, only a window and so towels didn't dry and everything just felt damp all the time. For the price you are paying I would expect some complementary breakfast in the lobby area, but there is none. The room has no overhead lighting as it makes use of windows but when you want privacy it's not as good.

Location is great, the hotel has beautiful grounds for sitting outside.

The room was pretty small and there is a bit of road noise. But it died down to nothing after 10:00pm and we slept really well.

The location was perfect for us. We did not want to be in the middle of the downtown noise and crowds. It had great access to HWY 1 and it was a nice walk to downtown Carmel.

For the price should’ve had some kind of breakfast food especially because they are a bit farther from town than some other hotels. The older female receptionist was very cold when I checked in. Moldy smell in the bathroom.

I loved the bed!!! Comfortable stay. Carmel is always expensive but it was a nice place. Upscale.

The main negative was that vehicles regularly exceeded the posted speed limit right at the property’s street driveway, which not only made pulling into the lot and parking a challenge, but created quite a bit of frequent vehicle noise. Aside from this, the only other minor nuisance was a non-working refrigerator ice-maker, necessitating the need for us to walk up multiple steps to front office each time ice was needed.

Easy and convenient location. Spacious and quiet suite, and nicely appointed with above average daily necessities. Also had areas for our pets to “do their business”.

Fire pit was broken and not in use. Our last time we stayed the fire pit was non-operational as well. Also, we had to request our room to be serviced, ex: making the bed and providing fresh towels. Was disappointing not to have this amenity after a long day of traveling. For the price, these are important.

My only issue was the auto light in the bathroom, if you are getting up in the middle of the night it lights up the whole room.

The room was spacious and clean, they provided coffee in the room and also in the lobby. Cindy from the property called me a few days prior to ask if we preferred upstairs or downstairs, that was really nice

An odor in the room and lobby reminiscent of a low sewer leakage. I attribute it to an old building complex without much chance of improvement without major plumbing work. Lines for parking spaces should be marked appropriately if visitors are expected to park in such narrow spaces.

This was an unexpected gem in Carmel, well appointed, clean rooms, comfy bed, quiet neighbourhood, friendly staff, all for a very reasonable price.

The fire pit didn’t have a full flame, which was a bummer. It was farther from Ocean than I realized but it was easy to drive and park since we went on off season.

The hotel grounds are adorable. The room we stayed in had a jetted tub, which I loved. It was pet friendly for my dog and modern. Staff was easy going, kind, and accommodating. Nespresso in the lobby was a great surprise!
