Bathroom smelled, too small. Need another mirror 🪞 in the room so two people can get ready at the same time. No air circulation in the room. Windows should have opened at least a little. The ceiling fan is on a timer switch, so it only stays on for a short time, you need it to stay on while you sleep.

The breakfast was nice, more than enough food. Mattress was comfortable. Front desk guy was very friendly.

The hotel was listed under pet friendly and they are in fact NOT a pet friendly hotel. We would have chose a. Different place to stay as Carmel is SUPER pet friendly. This was made aware to the staff and should be updated. We arrived at midnight to a letter that stated No Pets with two little dogs after a 4 hour drive. Was unsettling to say the least.

Roger was so friendly and accommodating. The room was not the cleanest, but expected for the price range.

I like going in the jacuzzi every night on our vacation, they don't have one and I missed it.

The place is cute and quiet, with ample parking. The bed is comfortable and staff is friendly. Breakfast was delivered to our room which is very convenient. The place is centrally located and just a walking distance to stores, galleries and restaurants.

Housekeeping missed a couple things in my room for my initial stay. I didn’t have coffee packs or an ice bag, not the end of the world. But then they completely avoided cleaning my room entirely which was a bummer. I told the front desk about it, and he fix the problem immediately

I love how close I was to downtown Carmel and a parking was included.

Room had some maintenance issues. Facility is quite old and likely requires constant maintenance. Bathroom sink leaked into cabinet below. Night lock (deadbolt) on entry door did not work. Rooms do not include safes. Water was hot but very little water pressure. Linens were dated but clean and functional. While minor issues for us, they kept me from rating it higher. Note for guests with mobility issues, you must have a downstairs room. There is no elevator and only 1 stairs access to upstairs rooms many accessible only through a wood deck seating area. Upstairs is Definitely not for those with disabilities.

The location is perfect in the heart of Carmel with easy walk to all restaurants and shops and beach. Mission is about 1 mile away if that is your destination. Room itself was spacious and clean and well equipped with a nice patio view. Very nice breakfast basket was delivered to room daily. Staff was very nice. Due to Covid protocols room was made up once during 3 day stay which was sufficient.

We wanted to celebrate the 4th of July with a trip to Carmel and were willing to pay post-pandemic prices ($$$) to get away from home for a few days. This hotel property is located in very close proximity to all of the town's best restaurants, art galleries, cafe's and is not too far from the beach. We walked everywhere, and left our car at the hotel, which was so helpful given the very challenging parking situation. The hotel manager was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They provided a small picnic basket every morning with cereal, milk, yogurt, fruit, oj, and breakfast bars, which was very thoughtful and helped us keep our expenses in check during the trip. The room itself was one of the small king rooms on the 2nd floor. It was clean, and had everything we needed including a mini refrigerator, microwave, desk/chair, flat screen TV, working heat, lots of light in the room, overhead fan, usb and regular outlets in convenient locations, and a shower with hot water and good water pressure. We found it to be quiet and restful. The one negative I would share is that the bed itself was not overly comfortable (too hard) and I woke up a few times in the night due to this, but recognize this is a matter of personal preference. This was our first time staying here and we would absolutely come back. We hope prices have come down a bit by then as the world returns to normal!

"Pay at the property" was advertised by booking.com and I provided a different payment card at the location. They placed a hold on the card I used to reserve the room for more than the total amount of the hotel (over $800.00, room was $700+ for 2 nights). Until now this $800+ pending authorization is still "pending". And they had already charged my other card. They also placed a $95 pending authorization on the other card in addition to the $800+ pending hold. Another guest had a similar complaint. This was not explained to us whatsoever. Considering the price of the room, the breakfast was poor and they included yogurt that was past the best by date, they had it delivered to your door. The location was fantastic and could have been a lovely experience if not for the poor management.

The breakfast was a very very disappointing “basket” of cereal in a polystyrene pot, milk and a long life pastry. Not really good for the price we paid. I’d actually have preferred no breakfast to save on waste as this was basically inedible.

Really comfortable bed, clean, good location, plenty of parking and friendly staff.
