We liked everything.

Rooms are nicely appointed and furnished. Easy walk from motel to downtown businesses and Carmel beach. Hosted continental breakfast with champagne provided daily. Wine and cocktail happy hour held on Thursday-Saturday.

There was no soap in the room when we arrived, but other than that all the other amenities were in place.

The location is splendid - right at the start of the main street in Carmel. It is a 15 min walk to the beach, going through wonderful cafes, shops, and galleries on the way. There are also weekly events, such as a free wine tasting we happened to arrive just in time for.

We absolutely loved our stay at Le Petit Pali. It was definitely worth the money we spent. Relaxing, welcoming, and comfortable. Our favorite part, which we were pleasantly surprised by, was the fantastic continental breakfast. It was simple, but the QUALITY was exceeded expectations. Fresh butter, local pastries, etc. I would come back just for the cute breakfast- lol!

The Ocean street location did have some noise at times

Easy to find, parking available, nice breakfast, comfortable room, bikes available to borrow and bio around for a couple hours.

Loudness from sidewalk right outside our window did not make us feel safe enough to open it for fresh air. Tip request forms for Complimentary items. Need to pay to keep in-room shopping bag/potential momentous.

Only one small issue….the baseboard heater was very noisy at night and we could not turn it off.

Room was quite small, and limited parking isn't enough for all guests for park their car. We had to park on the street some of the time. For the price, I'd would have expected a bit more space in the room.

Location and breakfast were awesome. Staff were also super helpful and friendly. Room was very cosy, although a little small.

That my room was not ready when I checked in at 4PM. I wait for 30 minutes and the person at the front desk told me he would bring me the keys when my room is ready and when I noticed that the housekeepers left the room I was to occupy he was holding my key sitting at the desk. I was a bit annoyed as I was waiting in my sister's room the entire time.

Beautiful well appointed rooms. Very spacious and comfortable.

Small rooms, motel feel vs resort

Matched the description exactly. It's a redone motel made into an upscale lodging, though still a motel style - small rooms overlooking parking lot, but is fine for an overnight stay. Rooms were nicely done and refurbished. Location was great. Enjoyed the nice touches of sparkling wine upon arrival, water bottle and chocolate in the room, cookies delivered in the evening and continental breakfast with mimosas in the morning. This really made / differentiated the stay to another motel type lodging.

Room # 7 was tiny, not whta you expect acording to hotel quality and rate. The manager changed us to a great room the third night - well done.

Breakfast was amazing and staff very friendly. Happy hour at 5 PM a must.

Great location to restaurants, bars and shopping. Very clean and nicely decorated. Wonderful continental breakfast with champagne, and warm cookies served to your room in the evening. The staff is happy and accommodating.

My room was next to the ice machine, so it got noisy early. The staff were great sometimes and sometimes slow and less helpful at other times.

Very low water pressure in the shower. Seems to be the standard in California but this one was extremely low.

Very sophisticated and elegant decoration. Everything is very well thought through.

The walls of the property are very thin. You can hear every sound in the rooms adjacent to you. Because it is a motel style, people walk by your window to get to the stairs. So there is very little privacy if you want to keep your blinds even a little bit open. If you keep them closed, the room is very dark even with all the lights on. Water pressure in shower is on the light side.

Great location, good service. Breakfast and evening cookies were a nice treat. Complimentary water given each day. Free parking was also appreciated.

We had trouble with the shower, as I flooded the bathroom floor because the shower head was turned towards the shower door, which had no gasket or seal to prevent the water from getting out around the door.

Service was excellent, as was the continental breakfast.

First night we had rooms downstairs near the stairs, and were kept up late at night and again woken at 5 am by noisy neighbors. The floors/ceiling are super thin and we heard every step. We cha ged rooms upstairs and away from the stairs which solved this issue. The rooms have very little storage for luggage. Showers in all four rooms were a more drizzle.

Cozy, beautiful rooms in perfect location. Breakfast had limited choice, but was of good quality.
