How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was a lot of noise outside the room. There were no bedside lamps.
The workers at the reception and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was close to downtown LA at a good rate.

I wish they had bar soaps ! Also I didn’t have hot water in my shower . Besides that everything was good!

Area was ok but not great. Had extremely noisy neighbours the first night until 3am.

AVOID bottom rooms if you can. Walls are so thin you can hear people talking, people walking upstairs and doors slamming. I had a hard time sleeping downstairs but if you’re upstairs it’s perfect.
Great for the price. More modern than I thought from the pictures. Clean & has mostly what you need ( bring your own shower stuff & there’s no microwave) but other than that has it all. SECURITY DEPOSIT ($50) A ROOM (gets returned :) ) AND PAYMENT DUE AT CHECK IN. BOOKING ONLY SAVES YOUR ROOMS RESERVATION.

THe facilities are old and don't look good in the pictures, but if you are used to traveling in middle price hotels you're ok, the sheets are clean and they clean the rooms thoroughly everyday. Not fancy at all in the decoration and lighting (no bedside lamps available). The fridge wants to cool things but it doesnt quite make it. The walls are thin and if you run into a noisy neighbour you may hear them.
The location was good, close to the Crypto Arena and downtown. The staff was kind and efficient. Not for guests who are scared of popular neighbourhoods. Tones of latino family restaurants, that are cheap and good quality, although very very basic ., very authentic, it has safe, lit parking space inside.

The location was a little out of the way, had to take a bus to get to the subway. Not many dining options around.
Bed was spacious and comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower.

Parking was sparse and the room was a little dark and outdated. The area wasn’t great either but I was aware of this while booking as we were just making a stop over

This is by no means the fault of the hotel but there is sadly some deprivation and homelessness in Los Angeles, common to so many places in the USA, and can be very sad to see. We had no issues walking past homeless tents etc, but although relatively close to the Downtown area, you may prefer to get an Uber rather than walking into city centre - quite a lot of shelters under the freeway bridge.
Excellent location, very close to Los Angeles city centre by Uber - $8-10 or so ride. Very clean. Comfortable. Effective air conditioning. Excellent value. Very nice shower!

Beds could have a blanket. They could have a table or wall light close to the bed and not only the ceiling lights.

the safe was broken and reported 3 times and the tv but no one fixed them .
the location was good , not the best area if you need the metro always use buses. Safety for 2 friends on holiday I would stay elsewhere. The safe in the room and tv didn’t work. Good value for money comfy and clean beds with stained sheets . However the floor was very dirty . Bathroom spotless with clean towels every day . Get what you up for .

WIFI not that good. Everything looks pretty old. Bed is not super comfortable, but it's ok.
Not far from KTown or downtown. Even close to USC. Nice restaurants witihn 15 minutes walk. Very good price. Spacious room. Very clean. Nice staff.

No microwave in the room. It’s a bit noisy at night since our room is on the ground floor and quite near the street. The room is spacious for more furniture
The location was good with gas station and restaurants nearby. Parking slots are on the property. Nice staff and good daily cleaning service.
