Honestly everything was great for the most part, except my husband told me he saw a cockroach while I was sleeping run across the bathroom floor. That grossed me out but luckily I didn't see it & it's an old building right near the water so am not surprised. It definitely wouldn't keep me from staying here because everything else was so lovely (the staff, the decor, the BED & PILLOWS!, and the views from various spots on the property).

The view from our room was lovely! We could see the ocean & we loved eating our breakfast out on the patio. The included breakfast was a great touch and made us feel like we were really on vacation. The room was small but had everything we needed for a quick 2 night stay. We loved the pool area and everyone was so nice & accommodating. The welcome drink when we arrived was also a nice touch. We would love to come back and are thinking about booking our baby moon here in the next few months. The included toiletries were also a nice touch and smelled lovely - I also almost bought the robe it was so luxurious. The water took a little while to get hot but once it did, the waterfall shower was lovely after spending time at the beach.

I arrived a bit early and the welcome mamosas weren't ready yet. They promised me one but it never eventuated. That is the only thing in a wonderful stay.

This is a gem of a hotel. Staff are all fabulous and look after your every need. Breakfast delivered to your room is an excellent touch and those cookies, I have never tasted anything so awesome! I was upgraded to a suite taking my stay to 10/10.

Not avoidable, but lots and lots of steps, which of course is the character and charm of this hotel.

Lovely hotel with wonderful staff. We didn't use most of the facilities and services, but breakfast was offered, and there is nice-looking pool. It's an authentic historic adobe house, very pretty. Room was clean and comfortable, Bottles of wine and water were in the room for purchase.

Property is beautiful.. we came for birthday, and were given an upgrade and champagne.. would have preferred a room not on the street, but everything was great. Wish we had more time and warmer weather to enjoy the pool!

The pool was supposed to be heated but it was very cold in some areas.

Everything! The breakfast was incredible, the room was cozy, staff were amazing, views were beautiful from the ocean room, and the spa robes were to die for.

The staff is exceptional and very helpful. the lobby area for cocktails next to the fire place fantastic! Breakfast delivered to room daily! Fresh baked cookies every night in the lobby. convention for walking all over Laguna Beach!

Didn’t feel comfortable about the parking spaces, lots are a bit tight and on steep slope. I felt safer parking on the side of the road. In addition, the glass shower door was not tightly closed which caused water to leak into the bathroom floor.

Breakfast was tasty and healthy. Love the oceanfront view.

I like location, but last day was a lot of noise very eayly morning and could not sleep. It seemed like someone was moving or knocking on the wall. We did not have hot water almost all day due to gas line repair in the Street.

The staff was attentive and any concerns I had they were promptly taking care of. The Hotel has this Mediterranean Italian Spanish style that makes you feel far away from home

Nothing significant.

A wonderful small boutique hotel that's puts a capital C in their marketing description of curated. The design and feel of the hotel is very stylish which we felt was a fusion of Moorish and Mediterranean style blessed with Southern Californian charm. The service from front desk, chef and everyone else was amazing, so friendly, attentive and nothing seems a hassle. The little touches from live music and mimosa's at the weekend, to arrival calming white wine sangria and the "evening peanut" cookies were superb. Our room was beautifully appointed (reality matched the marketing pictures), clean and Cowshed bathroom products are extremely nice. We ate a few times in the hotel and the food quality was excellent even though the selection not extensive. Overall a magical place to stay for a few days to take a calm moment.

Parking is VERY limited.

I think the coffee could be better as the rest of the breakfast items are excellent.

We had an excellent stay. Staff is wonderful and location on the hill offers ocean views. You order breakfast the night before and it`s ready for you at the time you picked. The menu has various items, fresh fruits and protein options. The only down note is that the sauna was temporarily out of order and we could not use it. :( We definitely recommend it!
