There clearly needs to be some additional upkeep. The bathroom faucet was very jiggly (not attached to the sink any longer) and I had to hold it when turning the water on. The icemaker was completely dismantled, and the manager/owner (?) had to come out and release the ice into my bucket for me.

All the extra little decorated details are quite lovely. As was the outdoor spa and pool. I was very excited about the Jacuzzi tub in the room. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable after many hours of driving.

Overall it was great! I did trip on the curb outside the room between the room and the car. The curb is curved and there is not easy access between the room and parking lot. I tripped on the curb and landed on my knee, elbow, and hand. I was able to get ice from the front desk staff (the ice machine was out of order?). Thankfully I had no broken bones, but had to take a day off work for X-rays and to take care of my (still) swollen knee.

Beautiful, quaint, proximity to town, happy hour and breakfast, staff, and amenities.

Hot water lacking at certain times. We think everyone was filling their in-room jacuzzi tubs!

The heated pool and jacuzzi were gorgeous. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping and access to Rails to Trails bike/walking path.

Jets on the jacuzzi were VERY weak. The breakfast was SPARSE.

The room was beautiful with a stained glass window. I was very surprised to have a private patio with table and chairs.The breakfast was spare. Nothing special at all.

The furnishings were a bit too shabby. The toilet area was very cramped. There were no fire alarms or carbon dioxide monitors. The bed was too close to the heater/air conditioner for it to work properly and it was possibly dangerous.

It was convenient. It had some lovely design features. The beds were very nice. It looked beautiful. Nice pool area.

Sink did not drain well, bathroom door sticks. Leftover dirty laundry in drawer and wet washcloth over shower rung. There was no sign in the room for maid service, so we didn't know we needed to hang it, and subsequently no maid service was performed. We were only there two nights, so by the time we learned, it was too late.

Our mattress/bed could have been more comfortable; the bed was very bouncy. Also, the tile floor could have used an area rug for a little more coziness. These are nitpicky things; overall, we had a great stay, and will happily book again!

The pool and jacuzzi were clean and open until 11pm, which we took advantage of! The location is amazing, and I found it hard to believe the amazing deal for our stay, so close to the Ojai Arcade. We walked the entire time we stayed here. Staff were all incredibly kind; continental breakfast and dining room were ample, and sun-soaked... it felt like a Bed & Breakfast in its charm.

Outside of the room the street noise was loud! The hotel is located on a very busy highway. Our room was very dated but clean. The continental breakfast needs better attention! Food was picked over and not replaced.

With a little TLC Chantico would be stellar. Things like a lightbulb in the shower that is at the pool and a new shower head. New paint here and there. Keeping things a bit more tidy on the exterior. It's an adorable place, but it feels a bit neglected. Just a little love and upkeep would go a long way. The parking lot sucks, but it's not their fault, you'll still be grateful for the location.

Chantico has character and unique decor. It's nice to have a hot tub and jacuzzi and be near downtown.

I hung my white bathing suit inside the closet to dry and it got rust stains on them afterwards and I don't think it will come off.

I liked that they had a pool and hot tub. I also appreciated their breakfast. It's very quaint and cute and the staff was very friendly.
