Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe parking was $18 a night. We stayed 4/26-4/27. There was apparently prom happening on both of these nights and the parking was taken up by them. We even passed a group of kids who were talking about taking up the hotel parking so they didn’t have to pay. On Saturday night when getting back to the hotel we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for someone to leave to be able to get parking. In instances like this we should not have to pay to park when we can’t even park in the designated spots.
The hotel is very nice. The entire property was well maintained and clean. The staff was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Lots of places are within walking distance or a short drive, but it didn’t feel as if we were in the middle of downtown.

IrelandStayed here while passing on a road trip. The hotel is in a great spot, with great places to eat around it. Super classy decor, with a boutique feel. And very comfortable. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

United StatesThis may be a booking.com issue but a balcony is NOT included and is an upgrade of 25.00 and parking is 18.00 a night, also not detailed in the description. You find this out when you arrive. The front desk was amazingly kind about it and said they are working with booking.com to resolve.
Uniqueness, Clean, Beautiful and thoughtful decor. The property is amazing with a quaint onsite food and wine restaurant, a caboose in the courtyard serves up food and drinks ito live music. The pool and the train cars (which you can also stay in for an upcharge of 150 or so) is next to courtyard for added ambiance. A beautiful and fun property.

United StatesParking ticket on the first night in a spot we were directed to park in by the door attendant. . Hotel took care of the ticket. Based on other reviews, this happens a lot, and there should be a better system to notify the ticketing agency which vehicles are guests.
The cleanliness, design, and train cabin theme of the room. The patio was nice for relaxing in the sun and coffee in the morning. The shower pressure was excellent, and the AC kept the room cool. The location was perfect with several tasty restaurants within walking distance.

United States😁There was nothing about the property that I was displeased with. Next time I will book the train room. I didn't realize that when booking, there was a difference. I really wanted to stay in a train room for my husband's birthday.
I loved the room decor, and the bed was super comfortable. The proximity to restaurants was great, and I loved the live music in the courtyard.

United StatesThe pastry and coffee in lobby could have been included as an option, rather than an extra for a fee. Printed info or a plaque on the wall would be a nice way for guests who are history buffs to learn about the role of the railroad at that location in Chattanooga.
Wonderful area for those interested in railroad history, historical preservation projects, and how Glenn Miller’s song Chattanooga ChooChoo came to be! Good spot for early breakfast is the farm to table café around the corner and in the restored train station The Frothy Monkey…

United StatesWhen we arrived, there wasn't enough parking. After driving around for a while and finding two spots, we discovered that the lot in the back was for the apartments. We finally found two spots. We stayed around the hotel where we could walk so we wouldn't have to find parking late at night. The rooms were great, and we would stay again. My only complaint would be that the rooms are a bit dark and need a little more light. With 3 people in the room trying to get ready, Using the mirror by the front door to put on makeup was difficult since it was so dark.
The staff was extremely friendly, and the room was very nice. We had two rooms, and everyone had positive things to say.

United StatesOh said above . A male staff member made me feel unsafe .
Propertymanager and most staff was wonderful. One man , door person asked for my room number so he can bring wine to my room since there was a definite mixup with my booking with booking.com. Thought it was weird because he could find out my number from front desk. Made it it a little uncomfortable to sleep due to that but we were fine and safe so it turned out great.

United StatesNo complaints. They do charge $25 to make up the trundle bed which we declined.
Staying in a restored train car was memorable for me and my 6 year old grandchild. Everything is being well managed and I could see more work in progress. You are conveniently located near restaurants, the free bus to Riverfront, and Niedlovs bakery! Parking was $18 which was reasonable for that area. Loved the outdoor pool and patio area.

United StatesI didn't like being surprised with a $75 per day incidental charge plus $18 per day parking charge. I like to budget when traveling, and an extra $225.00 was not included in my budget, but I made no fuss about it.
The hotel was clean, unique, and fun. There was plenty to do at the hotel and close to local restaurants, shops, museums, etc.
