How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Due to a mistake at check-in 2 security holds were placed. I did not realise until a few days after I had left. Email correspondence was unsatisfactory and my concern was not addressed with the hotel not acknowledging that they indeed had 2 unreleased holds. This persisted for 6 working days, far longer than any of the other hotels. Aiden blamed my bank but what is the difference between them and the other hotels where I had used the same credit card?
In a busy location by a main road, the hotel was tranquil although it got much busier when a coachload arrived. Breakfast was a cut above others at the same level and well organised. One chap at reception was excellent, very outgoing with superb service.

Some rooms have pleasant views and others did not.
Pool area provided respite and gathering place For family. Beds were very comfortable.

The wifi wasn't working for the whole of our stay. It was a long walk from the lobby to our rooms, particularly for one of our party, who has difficulties walking. As we had to leave early we couldn't try the breakfast that was included. The hotel did provide a grab bag for breakfast to take away, but this consisted of a cereal bar, an apple and a small bottle of water, which was a little disappointing.
We had an early flight from Austin airport to Mexico, so needed somewhere not too far from the airport, and this hotel provided that. The room was nice - loved the quirky wallpaper and unusual circular bedside light - although we looked out on a brick wall! The pool was very welcome on a sticky day and was well serviced with towels and sun loungers. Lobby area is nice, with good coffee machine and comfy chairs. The man on reception provided us with suggestions for places to visit and where to eat.

It was raining! and the exterior walkways had puddles that made walking and rolling my bag not-fun. also, I had a room near the pool and people talking and enjoying the pool had their voices and sounds projected to all rooms adjacent.
Helpful, friendly and knowledgable staff! Upon check-in the woman at the counter was very nice and communicated all I needed to know for my stay in a friendly manner.

Facility layout is a bit strange, which is not the fault of anyone in particular but if you have limited mobility be sure to request a room closer to the lobby as there are a rather odd assortment of stairs to get to the back units. TV's could be upgraded but that's not a major issue either.
Staff was exceptionally kind especially at my rather late check in. Design of the hotel was fun and quirky and although I did not partake in the swimming pool area it definitely looked like a neat place to lounge.

I got lost before reaching my room. The structure of the building might be a little complicated.
The stuff is so kind. And the breakfast made our children happy.(Waffle's shape was Texas!! so cute!)

WiFi was weak in our room.
The staff were very nice. Breakfast was very good, hot dishes, but not any whole grains choices (it did have gluten free). The location to downtown was great. The bed was comfortable and had great pillows.

you can’t walk to activities and restaurants. Uber is required. it usually cost about $10

Quality of the breakfast was disappointing. Bacon limp and greasy. Sandwiches not hot.
Location and quirkiness were good. Bed was comfortable (though too high for my wife, who is 5'4".)

The hot tub being closed. The include breakfast was not good.
The fitness center. The pool and the hot tub looked great but they were closed because of the freezing weather.

The only thing I didn’t care for was how low the toilets were to the floor.
Staff were very friendly, rooms were very clean. Breakfast was very good. Loved the atmosphere of the hotel.

Breakfast spread for vegetarians, like myself was limited. However whatever was available was good enough.
