Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWe all have left thand are headed back to Indiana- ISsUES -we were given completely wrong instructions and code for door entry. -breakers were blown so coffee pot did not work , maintenance reset -annoying 24 hours of smoke detector or security alarm chirping -dryer had to be fixed before we could use -very very unclear instructions regarding operating TVs. Serviceman had to reprogram TV in downstairs living room as remote was missing. -maintenance had to change broken toilet lid -PH in hot tub was off, chlorine ok - fan broken in downstairs bedroom, maintenance fixed - TV in master #1 says to contact service when trying to watchFOX live this am -1 garbage bag?????? For 8 people. Everyone including maintenance techs were very pleasant and apologized but basically it was so frustrating dealing with issues on a daily basis while on vacation.

United StatesEdit: they were very kind and made the situation right which I great appreciate! Most people won’t do that for you. So they are wonderful for that. Unfortunately, the cleaning fee is very expensive ($200 something dollars) and our cabin wasn’t cleaned very well (if at all). Downstairs it smelled awful and we weren’t sure where it was coming from, went into the laundry room and found a towel covered in vomit in the washer. We also found a pan of old brownies sitting in oven. That was pretty disappointing.
The cabin itself is very nice, the location wasn’t too terrible to get too either. The beds were comfortable and it was roomy.
