Bed was a little hard for me

“Dislike” would be too strong a word, but I prefer onsite (or very nearby) property management (though this setting might not be suitable for the same, and management phone numbers are prominently displayed) in the event of an emergency (as arose during our stay), and even some starter wood and matches for the fireplace would have been appreciated, but that would incur additional operating costs and hassles for the staff, I suppose. The cabins are fairly close to a major road, though tucked down by the river, which reduces much of the road noise. We checked rates for another stay during the summer and the price per night shot up three-fold (the economics of supply and demand at work), which (for us) would not be a good value. A stay off-season, mid-week, dialed in a reasonable cost and good value.

Beautifully situated near the bank of a tumbling mountain stream, wood-burning fireplace, comfortable bed, quiet and peaceful setting. The kitchen was a wonderful addition to the cabin, and everything was well-appointed in the expected mountain theme.

Only thing was bunking next to a group that was a little loud and into music and partying rather then the outdoors and nature would have been the only down fall. But isn’t a deal breaker

The cabin was cute and had great fixtures and amenities. Stocked with extra stuff the fire place was amazing not to mention the river.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. The fireplace, kitchen, bedroom area, all were great. By far, the location next to the creek was the best part. We will absolutely stay again!

The cabin was in an ideal location easy to access everything you need, idyllic setting, very relaxing and has everything you need to self cater. Evergreen is a short walk with lots of lovely place to eat, drink and shop.

It was also the coldest day of the year, and it really wasn't that bad. They did have an extra heater and I used the oven to warm up the place a little bit after the wood fire went out.

The willingness of the staff to ensure comfort and explained to us about fireplace and cleaning off porch and steps. We did not have to ask. He made himself available. My friend from Texas and I of course will be returning. The cleanest and well thought out needs for the guest. No regrets just returning for the best get away!!!

The bed's headboard top shelf, my husband and I bumped our heads on the top ledge constantly. There were no plain water glasses so we had to use coffee mugs for drinking, which wasn't horrible, but a glass would have been preferred.

I loved the location, quiet and peaceful. We sat outside and had coffee and watched the water. The cabin was cozy and warm. It was fun to stay in a log cabin, the room was decorated cute and the bed was comfortable.

We had to put a blanket at the bottom of the front door at night, because of the gap between the bottom of the door and floor was very big. There was a solid stream of cold air coming through the bottom of the door.

The heater worked great along with the very easy to use fireplace. Every utensil we needed was provided in the cabin already and the water pressure was better than expected.

Everything was great. It snowed while we were there and the owners worked to keep things cleaned off.

It's a beautiful property right on the creek. It had everything you need in the kitchen and it was comfortable. We enjoyed building a fire in the fireplace. We missed the elk that came thru so we'd like to come back to see them next time!

There was a bit of a surprise when we arrived to the cabins, as they were duplexes and not individual cabins. Not a terrible thing, but it was not expected.

The cabin was exactly as advertised. We celebrated our anniversary there and enjoyed every minute of it. The area was so peaceful and the sounds of nature made for an amazing time. There is a small town just minutes away with diners, bars and coffee shops. There's even grocery stores and a drug store about 10 minutes away for those needing last minute items.

Bear Creek Cabin is the perfect little place to go to if you’re looking to get a feel of the outdoors while being located super close to town. It’s less than a half an hour from Idaho springs and less than a half an hour from Golden Co downtown. The ride to the airport was less than an hour. The cabins are situated right on the creek and there are chairs, tables and grills so you can enjoy it. When you open your doors you can hear nature and get that true cabin feeling. I highly recommend !

Cabin was fine, but above statement covers the stay.

Didn't get any breakfast. If it was there as far as I know we were not informed of an available breakfast. I would have rated the stay much higher except it poured down rain the whole evening and night. I am 88 years old, 100% disabled Marine, and it made it difficult to unload and load in the heavy rain and also we were not able to enjoy any of the outside amenities or ambience. I also think it would not affect your bottom line much to provide a half a dozen pieces of firewood and a can of lighter fluid. Going out for firewood was a no brainer due to the weather.

Clean and cosy lots of barbecues and tables to use .

Beautiful setting cabin was cosy a clean there were elks in the stream . Loved it.
