Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United StatesI wrote an email to Vacasa about an instance the last night of our stay where we were locked out. It was ignored. It was handled very poorly. We just experienced the most in- hospitable and in-efficient experience with a management company in our many years of travel. Our last night in Telluride we came back to our apt late and found the outside door of the complex locked. We were told it should not be locked and it had been open all week but apparently the only other tenant in the complex decided on locking the complex door on their way out. Why there would be a lock on the door if it’s not supposed to be locked or why not just give us the code if in case it was locked. So here we are it’s a cold evening we are not dressed for this weather and we call the VACASA Management number from the email we received if in case of lock box issues. We are on the line for over 20 mins with the agent offering combinations . I’m 67 years old with health issues and I’m on my hands and knees trying combinations that don’t work. Finally the agent offers to call local management saying they will call us back. Another ten minutes passes and no word. By this time my wife is livid and we’re having to wait to have local management get in touch with us which he finally did and gave us the correct combination. After 45 mins locked out in the cold we got into the apartment. Unfortunately the inefficiency did not stop there. Based on the last nights issue and not having time to pack and being picked up at 12:15 we were hoping to be afforded a later check out so when we called VACASA Management I was rudely told there is no exceptions based on COVID and we had to get out. So if the next tenant cannot check on till 4 pm. they apparently need all 6 hours to disinfect. I asked to speak with management and I was refused. When I asked if there is any place to place our suitcases until we get picked up I was told that’s our problem. On our own we discovered there was a solution… etc.

United States-I wish it could have accommodated 3 by offering a sofa bed. -The bed in bedroom was very low to the ground and painful to get in and out of with a bad back. -Providing very basic pantry items like salt/pepper/sugar/oil would have been thoughtful. -Needs a full length mirror.
Very convenient area during a festival. Nice living room.
