There didn't seem an option to request vegetarian breakfast, it was hard to know what the 'main dish' would be and if it would contain meat.

We arrived at night and I loved how much lighting there was with all the string lights, it was a very cute environment. The bed was super comfortable and the cabin stayed very warm. We also walking over to the beach (even with snow) which gave us great views of the lake. I would 100% stay again, maybe in the summer too!

There wasn't a microwave in our room. We used the one in the main lodge, but the lodge closed after 7pm which limited our ability to reheat food on our own time!

The ornate headboard on the bed was made up of a couple lengths of twisted tree branch. Both of us hit our heads on more than one occasion. I don't watch a lot of TV when I'm on holiday but, on the odd occasion I want to catch up on news or some such, its nice to see the whole TV. The, again ornate and wooded surrounding for the TV obscured about 3" of etiher side of the TV> Very odd. I'm guessing it was designed around a smaller TV and nver updated. Same with the fridge. Because the fridge is hidden behind wooden doors and the hinge points mounted inboard of the pillars, it is a real pain to open and close. No Vegan breakfast material other than fruit, which was nice and varied but, some bread or toast, or mushrooms would have been a real treat. I read a few reviews saying this place was almost too cheap. We stayed in 8 places in California and Nevada, including a Corner King Suite at the Mark Hopkins Intercontintntal in San Fransicso and a 3 bed detached house overlooking the bay in Trinidad (Humbolt county), and this was the most expensive. So I can't say it was great value. Would I stay again? No. Not because of the property, with the minor irritants mentioned put right, this is an ideal stay and beutiful hotel. Lake Tahoe is not a place I would visit again. It's too crowded, commercialized, and over developed for me. Plus, the circular road is one big traffic jam!

A really lovely setting and small group of accomodations, which all look Hansel and Gretel cute. Especially with the lights on at night. Great shower and bath with a small terrace with table and chairs

I wish there was a more secure place for bikes. They were not allowed in the rooms. We locked them to a post outside our room. We were told no bikes have ever been stolen from the property. My bike was expensive ($2000) and I wasn’t comfortable leaving it outside. It wasn’t stolen.

Beautifully decorated and maintained. The breakfast delivered to our door was delish. The private beach was lovely. There was a bike path right at the property to begin our bike rides, no driving! It was my birthday and they left 2 cupcakes in the room for our celebration.😀

The breakfasts were awesome and yummy. We ate on lodge deck with sun shining on us and with the beautiful landscape areas it was wonderful. This was our 50th anniversary and Gail at front desk went out of her way to reserve a table for us at Swiss Landing(?) Food was indescribable!! Wished we could have just moved in there.

I loved the setting among the pines and the proximity to the lake. The beach and gardens were lovely. There was also a terrific market and deli a block away.

The breakfast was amazing and very filling! The rooms were super cute and the bed was really comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this for people traveling without children. The access to the beach area was super convenient and clean and beautiful. Close to places to rent kayaks, bikes and paddle boards.

The cabin we stayed in was upstairs and closest to the road, so we heard heavy traffic in the early morning which made it hard to sleep. We had kept our windows open because there was no AC, it was well over 90 degrees when we stayed. The toilet in our room had issues with flushing, the maintenance guy took care of it and it worked for a day, but then stopped working again. Even though we heard traffic through the windows, our door upstairs didn’t face the road and was more private.

Beautiful property-very clean, super soft beds. The friendly staff was attentive and sweet. We Loved the breakfast! Yummy granola, a main dish, good seized juice, fruit delicately cut up, it was very filling! The property at night is breathtaking with the lighting. The bedding was oh so soft with crisp sheets that had a hint of lavender. The pillows were huge and so comfortable! They stacked our room with plenty of coffee and there were darling little nooks and cranny’s to put your stuff away.

Lights above the spa tub didn't work. Asked if they could fix them, but didn't happen during our 2 night stay. Use caution with public spa tubs anyways LOL other than that very clean!

Love the ambiance. Cozy! The cottage was super clean, we took our UV light & didn't spot anything. Floor was super clean too.
