Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesAs far as overall everything was great except we had a bad sewer smell in our room the second night. Reported to the front desk and the sadi it was due to being new and not booked full due to covid and the sewer system wasn't being continuously used.

United StatesWas listed under Booking.com to include a morning breakfast. Such was not available on weekends due to being short on staff - I was told. Having an on site breakfast included in listing and price, is one of the criteria I strongly consider in making such a hotel reservation. Hotel did not offer a price discount to us for not fulfilling expectations. Other mistake; shower body was dispenser was empty. Wife and I had to share one small bar of soap. Other negative issues; too soft bed pillows and love seat furniture was not comfortable to sit on.
Location, ample parking and lobby lounge with 2 big screen televisions and available snacks.

United StatesUpon arrival, very hospitable staff, average appearance but when we ventured to the room, there was a significant amount of trash and dirty towels outside guest rooms as well as overflowed trash cans.
Location was ideal and it was a great idea to include options for snack bar/coffee stop/and small group seating areas but, no one was ever available to get any of these items and it was kind of a disappointment since I hadn't pre-planned snacks etc knowing that this particular amenity was available at this location.
