Room had a locked adjoining door and was noisy because of the people in the adjoining room. Probably would not have been noisy if there had been a wall instead of door between the rooms.

The decor is a bit outdated.

If you are coming to the Mayoclinic, this place could not be more worth it. I cannot describe how simple, helpful and pleasant it was to use this as a base for my visits.

I don’t think the price per night was worth the money. I feel like it was above and beyond over priced. The pool was nice however it wasn’t cleaned and it appeared that the grounds had some sort of mold. I would come back because if the convenience to the hospital.

I thought everyone was very nice

The glasses in our room had lip marks all over them. They had not changed out, just rinsed. I had no other complaints. However, this one got me. When this stay was medical related.

It was very comfortable and super convenient.

Just that us with medical problems have a hard time making ends meet & the price for an overnight stay is so expensive, should not charge so much for sick people ! Is it possible to get some senior discounts ?

Very expensive for a 1 nite stay for a Mayo clinic patient !

I payed for breakfast with my room and when we got there we were told our room didn't come with breakfast. That was one of my main components on picking this hotel. The staff said there was nothing they could do as my kids were standing in the lobby in their pjs hungry for breakfast. So I had to take them 20 minutes down the road to a Bob evens which was over an hour wait.

It's was beautiful and the food was amazing.

the first room I was given had a completely broken security latch. (the part that should have been on the door was missing.) the second room had hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub maintenance staff walked around without masks. because so many of the guests were either there for treatment at Mayo or to visit a hospitalized love one, it seemed particularly insensitive to me for some staff not to wear masks.

Rooms need updated for the price. For the price, I would expect USB ports to charge electronics with instead of just plugs. A Keurig maker with some reasonable coffee would be nice. Coffee was awful!!!!!

Location was excellent. Room was clean.

I don’t normally write these types of reviews simply because I work in Customer Service myself and I know how they can make or break your job. But this needed to be written. Ok… I first got there and the young lady that attended to me was amazing. I wish I remembered her name but she was definitely a jewel. However… I ended up having to extend my stay for another day. I walked in and was first greeted by another young lady. Very kind & helpful. As soon as I told her my name and room number to extend, another employee stopped her. He seemed to be a member of Management based off how he was dressed. He was male, caucasian, balding head, chubby heavy set body type. He interrupted her and said NO let me take care of her. We both looked at each other like huh, uh ok, why? I get to his work station and he was the GRUMPIEST, NASTIEST, BLUNT, STRAIGHT FORWARD, UNFRIENDLY, NO SMILING, LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE person I’ve ever met in my life. He also charged me a higher rate than what I initially came in with after I was initially told I would keep the same rate since it’s an extension. And then he proceeded to tell me that I can’t get the additional 2 hour grace period given when it’s time to check out. (which I later had a friend call to ask if checkout can be extended and he said yes). He also kept staring at my afro ponytail in disgust. I felt violated. The way he was talking and treating and looking at me. But I still smiled and be my normal polite bubbly self no matter what. This hotel sits right across from the Mayo Clinic and a lot of people are there due to an appointment at the clinic. He doesn’t know what I was there for or what is going on with my health and this is how you treat people? If I could say anything to him it would be… You didn’t have to interrupt the young lady that was helping me. You deliberately interrupted our beautiful interaction just so you could have someone to pick on and mistreat. Shame on you!

The Property: looks a tad bit older but it’s very well kept with beautiful scenery especially the courtyard. It’s also private because it sits away from the main attractions of the beach but it’s great because the main attractions were only 10 mins away. Not alot of traffic in the hotel and that’s what I wanted due to COVID on the rise again. I didn’t want the packed busy hotel. The Food: OMG the Salmon meal and Grilled Cheese meal is worth all $30. It was really good. I ate it poolside. The Pool: Clean, well kept, clean towels are conveniently out there for drying off, it had a toy box for pool play and it was just awesome. The Room: was very decent. You can tell they put effort in it having comfort for guests. It smelled good and the shampoo and conditioners and lotions were infused with essential oils in it. I felt so stimulated & peaceful. The Staff: Amazing Amaziiiiing!! (except one) I will write about that in my cons part of the review.
