Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe coffee in the room was very good but I don’t understand not having coffee available for guests in the lobby. I don’t want to buy a Starbucks. There was no free breakfast, was not a deal breaker but since there was no breakfast, offering coffee would have been a nice compromise.
The evening front desk person was very friendly. The room was clean, attractive and comfortable.

United StatesThis one was kind of run down. Mattress wasn’t the same as a usual MCY. Bathroom area was small. Usually MCY’s we stay at are very nice but this one was a step down for whatever reason. After looking at the room I thought the rate was over priced.
Hotel was very close to where we were working. Front desk was very outgoing but other staff did not talk. Wife went through a couple of hair dryers and still couldn’t get one that worked right.

United StatesOnly thing was noise of traffic if outside - but can't help that with the interstate being so close.
The hotel looked to be recently renovated and was in excellent condition and very clean. I was very impressed with the room and bathroom. I will most certainly keep this hotel on a "must stay" the next time I am in town! There was an actual balcony attached to the suite that you could sit out on and relax - although being close to the interstate make it noisy outside. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well!!

United StatesI was charged twice. Booked the room through Booking.Com. Upon arriving, the receptionist didn't realize the reservation was already paid for and charged my credit card again. The General Manager assured the situation would be resolved. Also, the restaurant charged my wife's credit card 5 times for a meal her and I had. Again, the General Manager took care of the situations and even comped our breakfast this morning even after removing all the charges posted to my wife's credit card. The General Manager and entire staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied.

United StatesNo microwave (which is odd for the chain), the indoor pool is nice but unheated, we weren't aware that we had to call housekeeping to have our trash emptied (although we stayed four nights). Don't plan on reading in bed as the light shades are opaque.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. All of them did their best to ensure that our stay was pleasant.
