Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesDidn't realize there was no breakfast included...my oversight...but wish they at least had coffee in the lobby. Since Starbucks operates part of the kitchen that's probably why. We had one breakfast there....pretty good. Pillows a bit on the firm side.
Really nice, updated hotel. Kind of an odd location but convenient. They accommodated my request for a quiet room. The common area in the lobby is quite large and nicely decorated.

This was exactly what we needed toward the end of a hectic two week tour of California! The hotel staff were extremely helpful, and were quick to offer a room that was quiet and away from the freeway side. The room itself was small but well appointed, with the added feature of a couch and otterman - quite unexpected. The pool and gym looked good, but we were never able to find them unoccupied - they were clearly popular with children and teens. In the morning of our departure, we found we had a dead car battery. The staff were so nice - they rechecked us in to our room, and were supportive as we tried to get AAA out to help us. That extra bit of kindness from the reception staff was just what we needed at that moment. I've been staying in Marriott properties for years, and this just confirmed that I was making the right choice! The only downside - common to so many hotels now - was the inclusion of a TV that could only be operated by a rocket scientist. Honestly, couldn't they all just use cable, with a simple guide? Probably no longer available!
