Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe line to check in was long and took a very long time to be attended to. After flying and traveling all day, was annoying. The one thing that was shocking was that we were supposed to get free breakfast and when we attempted to get it in the morning we were told that only one person will get it!!! Apparently there is some spot on the reservation on line that needs to be checked off for 2 people. How stupid! If 2 persons are reserving the room, why would only one person eat breakfast? I have traveled to many hotels around the world and have never seen this! They did give my husband a free coffee and we shared the breakfast.
Food/bar area was in the lobby. One or 2 people to do everything. Food for dinner was ok; took back to room. Room was clean and comfortable. Price was reasonable plus the shuttle from the airport was good.

United StatesThe Airport Shuttle is very hit or miss it took a long time to catch the shuttle and then to get to the property. It takes about 30 minutes. Going back to the airport. The shuttle only runs on the half hours so that also is a little bit inconvenient. You need to allow at least an hour for travel to the hotel.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice. The setting is lovely and the bar with the food staff were especially nice. There are good restaurants to walk to from there.

United StatesThe hotel was tucked back behind another and you really need GPS to find it. Getting out of the hotel back to the main strip you had to go around about, but not that big of an issue. The room price was a little high, however it was a busy weekend for Easter & Spring break, so it was understandable..
The room and bathroom was clean. Thew beds were comfortable to sleep in and there were multiple plugs near each bed including a few on the wall and on the clock. The room had a sliding door where you could go out to the interior of the hotel grounds, which was nice. The parking was controlled and was close to access points into the hotel. Not to far from things where you could either uber or drive.

United Statesstaff was not that friendly. restaurant was not nice. people smoking outside the front door. people waiting for the Shuttle in front of the front desk. it was crowded without reason. there is another courtyard with almost the same name, so I went to the other and then I had an uber to take me to this one. why they use very similar names for two hotels of the same company in the same area?
Location. close to the airport it was clean and comfortable large room tv, ac, small refrigerator, it was quiet

United StatesThe hotel is of an old design and a bit worn out. The toilet and bathtub/shower are in a space/room without the sink that is separated from them by a door. Are you supposed to wash your hands in the bathtub? The price for this is too high. Probably it is a tribute to the name, Courtyard Marriott. Everything else is normal (clean, comfortable, etc.) and what should be expected.
Proximity to the airport, spacious parking, pool, friendliness and professionalism of the staff

United StatesNoise (planes arriving, hotel is on the flight path and road noise - close to a major highway) and not so walker-friendly to go to nearby stores (very limited). For the steep price for a one-night stay, there is no free breakfast. Hotel shows signs of aging.
Close to the airport and that’s it.

United StatesI did like the fact that I booked for 5 days with breakfast included and it did not include my children's breakfast. The view on the backside is not pleasing. There was a lingering smokers smell when I turned on the air. The bar was not fully stocked and their weren't microwaves in the rooms. The pool closed really early
I like the pool and outdoor atmosphere, The food was good. Housekeeping was nice. The shuttle service was good. The lobby staff was nice

Dominican RepublicThe credit card hold per room was US$900 for a 5 nights stay which I think is a lot and we did not get that information prior to our arrival. The hold was released a couple of days after we checked out but I think its important to know that you will need that availability on a credit card in order to stay here.
It is a very good 'value for money' option. Beds are super comfy, perfect for short business like or shopping trips to Miami. It has a fairly equipped gym and a pool. I think it is good to know that renting a car is probably the best option in Miami, but near the hotel you have shops and restaurants that are walking distance.

Cayman IslandsWhen booking I requested a balcony and received a confirmation On my arrival I reminded that staff member who assured he had given a room with a balcony. On reaching the room there was no balcony. I returned to the front desk and spoke to another staff who changed the room and of course having heard there were many rooms available I was excited to sit and watch the courtyard which is beautiful but I was booked into a balcony room facing the car park. So I did receive a balcony room, After booking out the following day I received a balcony facing the courtyard as I had two rooms booked then.
The hotel was good for the one night There was nothing excited as I took the time to rest.
