Just the first step inside will tell you what kind of hotel this is. The building needs renovation. We had to ask for a different room because we were put in a dirty, urine-smelling room (Floor 4) The windows were so dirty that you couldn't see anything outside. I demanded a room change and we received a nice, clean, large room. The 12th floor.

The hotel needs a lot of upgrades, the elevator is pretty noisy with a bumpy ride. The room needs newer carpet and updated bathroom fixtures. I think they painted it and call it quits. The bed was comfortable. Desk and chair are uncomfortable, however, the WiFi was good. I was expecting more for the price.

The one thing that this hotel has for is the location, easy to get access to from the Metro station, less than a block away. The neighborhood feels relatively safe.

The half dead roach on the bathroom floor when we first walked in left had me skeeved out for the rest of my stay. There was no water pressure trying to shower and the air conditioner didn't do a great job cooling the room; I woke up drenched in sweat.

The property is a little tired. While the room and linens were clean, the room itself could have used a refresh overall. The furniture was tired and rundown. The bath tub needed to be reglazed or replaced, it was in pretty rough condition.

The location is great for a weekend in the city on the Upper West Side. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to city transportation, dining, shopping, etc. Met the needs for the clean, safe, quiet place to stay while visiting NYC.

The smell in the corridor of the hotel.

The hotel is just 1 minute walking to the subway. The room was clean and the staff always take care of our requests. The service room provided clean towels and water every day.

Room looked nothing like the pictures, it was old and outdated, a roach was on the wall, the hallways were scary and dimly lit, a lot of cosmetic work needed to make the property look more appealing

Very very dated!!! The unfinished trim in the room, no curtains on the windows. Blinds were dirty *old-fashioned orange scary looking rug! Mattress needs to be thrown out!!!! The outlets are a fire hazard, they come right out of the wall and entirely! I hurt my shins two times on the corner of the bed, they are made of metal and the mattress doesn’t overlap it! Now I have bruised legs.

TV static and channels not working. Asked reception to resolve said technicians will be on site to fix, nothing done still the same. Can feel a lot of dust even after a room service on bedside table, and vacuum jobs could've been a bit more thorough. Bronze double room needs an upgrade to match that of the other room offers, not worth the money spent for a very small space that can sleep up to 4x people.

The entire place is in dire need of a makeover. Very dusty, chipped paintwork, broken blinds, electric sockets hanging off walls, really quite depressing rooms.

Staff at check-in were uncommunicative. Lobby was depressing - dark & dirty & worn carpeting. Peeling and old paint on walls and woodwork. Tiny elevators. Dark hallways with worn out rugs and peeling paint. A dump.

Location was great. One block to the subway station to go uptown and downtown. Several excellent restaurants in walking distance of hotel. Bed good. Closet good with multiple hangars. Bathroom sparkling clean and relatively new.

The halls smelled horrible. The room had holes in the wall, has old radio, old TV, Old remote, old tables and bed, they are outdated. The hot water took more than 15 min to get to our room. The sheets were not clean when we got there.

Hotel is a bit run down, carpet needs changing, walls need painting, the sound isolation is non existing, therefore you can hear everything from the street. Although is a non-smoking hotel, all the hallways smelled of cigarretes and marihuana.

Hotel is located in a very local neighbourhood, so is not overrun by tourists. Lots of restaurants and shops around. The rooms are big, functional and clean. Housekeeping cleans and changes towels everyday. They were kind enough to keep our luggage after check out.

The building is old, so there is a lot of uneven floors, holes in the walls, discoloration etc. But price was attractive, so I expected that ;)

Since we faced broadway St it was a bit noisy, but we turned the sound sleeper on and were able to sleep fine.

The bed was so comfortable. Great location and you couldn’t hear the neighbors so that was great!
