Was in town for a dog show. Listed as pet friendly with no pet fee listed. Management told me I didn't pay the pet fee and acted like I was trying to get away with something. Pet fee of $10 per pet per night is not a big deal, but should be listed or noted on the Booking.com page.

There was a chair that had not been reupholstered or replaced at the time of my stay and looked particularly shabby amid the newer furnishings. I hope they just hadn't gotten around to it yet. There is no ice machine, but worse than that- there is no coffee in the rooms. Or anywhere. You have to go out for coffee.

This property is very close to the Dixon-May fairgrounds, where I needed to be early in the morning. The rooms have been recently redone, or at least mine had been. It was comfortable and immaculately clean.

Water pressure was low in the shower and the air conditioning was somewhat difficult to operate effectively.

Breakfast was not promised or provided. Location is convenient to highway, shopping, and dining. Motel room was immaculately clean and fresh towels were provided each day. Staff was polite and helpful.

There was a ticking noise somewhere in the ceiling that went on all night long. Not sure what that was. The bed was slightly lumpy but pretty comfy. Only two pillows… Could use a couple more. No rugs on the floor. No amenities at all.... no clock, no pen, no tissues. Wi-Fi password not posted in the room. Had to go get it from the lobby.

The motel itself is older and quaint and has about 8 rooms. It is conveniently located around the corner from a 7-Eleven, a CVS, and a Mexican grocery store. Other places to eat and shop are nearby. Fridge and microwave in the room. Fridge was great! The place was clean and management was friendly and helpful.

Need to make sure that guests are not smoking near their rooms. One guest was smoking in the doorway.

Very reasonable accommodations and a good location. Surprisingly quiet given that it was right off a street, but I slept very well and the motel overall was not noisy. Convenient location near services.

Parking was very limited. Were told we could park in the store lot a half block down if needed. Fortunately, that wasn't necessary. Extremely limited area to walk dogs, to be "pet friendly".

There was no breakfast, didn't expect one. I had a service dog and booking was told this up front. The other person who traveled with me also had a dog. The motel owner went to my friend to collect $10.00 per night to cover my dog. I wouldn't have minded paying but they should have come to me.

The "free wi-fi" did not work and staff were unhelpful in fixing that. The toilet seat had large gouges that seemed very unsanitary. A shampoo packet was provided, but it contained an impractical amount-- about two drops.

The price was reasonable for a roadside motel. It was very near where I needed to be for work.

Everything the owners are really nice people. The rooms are very clean and very nice. We stayed in a lot of hotels for work in the area and surrounding areas and this place is by far the best. 10 stars...

Okay one drawback, the train. Some people like trains. We only heard it twice.

We were very pleased with everything at the Dixon Hotel Friendly staff. The young person in the office even printed a map for us so we could find our way around town. Our room was very clean, lots of towels, soaps and tissues. Good A/C, a big window that you could open. Best price we ever found. Okay one drawback, fairly close to the railroad which went through at 1:20 am and 3:10 am but it's fast. My wife slept through it. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, especially people with dogs. They are considered no problem. Ours liked the cool tile floor.
