The breakfast wasn't the best. Was a little disappointed in the pool area. The water was a little cold. There were paint chips or something floating in the water. Overall the pool area seemed a little outdated.

The staff was very friendly. Our room was nice and clean. Really liked the location! Everything we did was within a few minutes of the hotel.

Something I didn’t like was some of the breakfast options, it was a ok breakfast. If you didn’t pay for breakfast with your room then it isn’t worth paying for the buffet

Check-in took five to ten minutes (I was the only customer at the time) and it was 3:00pm. It took so long for the lady to find a king room for us.. Bathroom wasn't clean. Hairs on the bathroom ceiling. How is that even possible? Are you moping ceiling after moping floors? Only one (tiny) shampoo in the bathroom, no other toiletries. I was expected to make a call and request for soap, body wash and extra towel. Instead I bought my own toiletries, of course. We stayed for two nights and received no housekeeping service. Lower standards are becoming new standard for most hotels that I stayed in the US after covid. You either pay $250+plus per night for standard services or get ready for "bed and room only" accommodations. I am perfectly fine with the latter. I don't have to pay extra bucks for small/tiny shampoo bottles, and can tidy up my own room if I have time. However, I am just confused what to expect from a four star hotel... Should I bring my own towels? There are reasons why many people prefer to stay at hotels instead of Airbnb rooms. So, what are you now? Maybe hotels should update their booking.com profiles and tell us a priori what (not) to expect.. Much like breakfast or mini bar items, hotels must be crystal clear about toiletries and house keeping services (not) provided and their prices: I should have the option to opt in/out for these, now, ad-ons. Then I will decide whether or not to stay at a hotel or Airbnb.

Breakfast menu is not the same as it used to be. I didn't see hot food like biscuits and gravy any more. Toilet didn't flush out well. Shower curtain was crummy.

They still give out a chocolate chip cookie at check in, which is good. Buffet style breakfast as opposed to continental breakfast was good.

The staff was rude. We has 2 rooms booked. She was very adamant we only had 1. I had to call Bookings customer service to get it taken care of. She was of NO help at all. There was NO customer service at the hotel at all. We then had to wait for over an hour for a room, almost making us late for our engagement.

No face towels given during our stay. No hot tub on premises. Restaurant not open on weekends. Air Freshner in the hallway would be beneficial.

The staff customer service was wonderful and bright. My family enjoyed the pool and the hours allotted.

Cleanliness can definitely be approved with housekeeping not terrible but not the best either. Our TV didn’t work correctly which sucked.

We had to be moved to a different room since the floor was wet, you could smell the moisture in that room.

The breakfast was great. The waitress was super friendly. I was a little surprised the hotel charged for breakfast but it was not bad at all, can't complain. The receptionist was very welcoming and nice.

However, the one downside was that decent wifi was only available at an additional cost, which I found to be outdated and somewhat frustrating. Despite this, I would still recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - Schaumburg to professional travelers, as it provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and productive stay. If you're willing to overlook the additional cost for decent wifi, then DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - Schaumburg could be a great option for your next business trip.

The facilities are somewhat old. It is a hotel suitable for short stays. The hotel pool was not working so we could not enjoy all the space.
