How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We are used to Tempur-pedic mattresses. But we run into this everywhere. So not really a dislike

The housekeeping knocked on the door 5mins before 11:00 and walked right in as I was walking toward the door to open it to let her know we needed a few more minutes to grab our things. I feel like she didn't give me the opportunity to say anything she just came right in.
The staff was so friendly. The rooms were very clean, and the property was well maintained. I also love the complimentary meals and drinks. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and refer friends and family.

The floor in our room and bathroom needed cleaning.
The connecting indoor-outdoor pool was heated to be comfortable even on a cool day. The staff were very nice; I asked at the desk for extra blankets and they were cheerfully provided. I love that they serve breakfast and a light dinner, too!

Housekeeping could have been better. Was difficult to have housekeeping come in to clean and thoroughly clean while there.
Breakfast and the kickback hour was very good . I truly enjoy having that amenity and also having the bar area to order food and drinks after hour. I also enjoy the pool and the hot tub. These items are the reasons why I continue to come back the Drury. I stayed in the suite this time and absolutely loved it. The additional room was perfect for our stay.

We had a minor plumbing issue on the first stay, but was easily resolved on our own, although the housekeeping staff offered to take care of it, we prefer to take care of minor issues ourselves.
My first stay at the Drury Plaza was, more or less, the result of throwing a dart at a map....Our stay was so pleasant, that we booked reservations for our subsequent stay in Richmond less than 4 months later. After our second stay, we have decided that the Drury will be our de-facto hotel any time we travel to Richmond. The hotel is relatively new, extraordinarily clean, and the staff is superb. Excellent value for the money!!!

The only thing I did not like was the toilet paper. It was more like sand paper. With the price really need to upgrade that for sure.
It was very clean and perfect location. Loved the knowing the restaurant and bar was on location was awesome. Also having the bar open later perfect. Definitely will stay there next year for volleyball tournament.

My only complaint is with my check-in. I checked in at 6 pm (well after earliest check-in) and I was told a room of the category of my reservation wasn't ready and that one should be ready in maybe 20 minutes. I waited in the lobby while probably 5 other families checked in without issue and finally I went back up to the counter and another employee helped me this time. My room (single king) was still not ready but they were able to get me into a double queen quickly. So in the end it worked out but I was annoyed initially.
Clean rooms excellent lobby food and breakfast.

Never received my $50 deposit back it’s been over a month and the charge still shows pending, instead of them completing the charge to refund my $50. Room was spotless as we only came for 1 day and spent most of it touring the city. But be weary, because it’s never taken more than a week to receive a deposit back from other establishments.
