Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThey were mid-renovation and did not specify it before I booked. The key cards were wonky and the elevator was broken; the room lighting was cold and sterile, the curtain had holes and wasn't big enough to cover the window; if I turned off the fan, I could smell smoke; there was no soap shelf in the shower and the toilet bowl water was way too high. Nobody died while I was there, though, so there's that.
The location. Mid-town, only 5 minutes from the capitol. There was an IHOP right on the corner, and that was great.

United StatesAfter 7 days they make you leave. No offer to switch rooms. They say it’s to deep clean so bugs aren’t an issue. I get it, but there are other solutions than leaving for a day then come back. Next, this maybe be a reach but I can only speak my experience. Between me and the guy at the front desk know I’m at 7 days and will be leaving. Being a locksmith and in insurance. I inspect my vehicle every morning and on the last day I see chipped paint on my rear passenger door like someone attempted to break in. I’m sure they’ll blame the homeless or security and not the guys friend I see him talking to who later parked his vehicle in the small corner next to mine. I feel like they are part of the petty crimes there. Last the a/c unit needs to be changed. The air filter or the unit need to be replaced. The air quality is very poor. I developed a serious sore throat and only felt good by being outside and taking meds. They’re also doing remodeling so there’s a lot of noise going on with the work and the workers yelling, laughing and excessive conversations. Toilets do not flush properly. After checking out 4 days ago I still haven’t received my $50 deposit.

The only lighting in the room was the large lights in the ceiling. The toilet seat was very old and the paint was chipping off.
