I didn’t realize that we had such a small room with a Murphy bed. That’s my fault though, I didn’t read the description closely.

There are pet and non-pet rooms. It would be great if one could book the type in advance since that’s easier for both people with allergies or pets.

The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, but there are plenty of good options to explore in town.

We had a very comfortable room with an amazing view of the lake and were impressed with all the amenities the hotel offered, including supplies for fire pits and hiking poles. We had a full kitchen and you can also walk directly to the grocery store. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and we felt like we were at a home away from home.

The Murphy bed was too soft. The shower water barely got warm one morning. The price seemed high for the size of my studio room.

If I have to pick something --The murphy bed - while comfortable - made the room pretty small and when it was down - only one other chair to sit in (other than wooden kitchen chairs).

There was no breakfast at this location - it is a condo with a kitchenette - so, we could have cooked for ourselves if we wanted to.

The space was very small, which was quaint, but there wasn’t any open shelf space or any space to put our personal belongings. It always seemed crowded and small. There was no air conditioning and it was hot. An open window was OK, except for the jake-braking trucks and seagulls. The information we received stated there was air conditioning, but there didn’t seem to be any. The bed was very uncomfortable and hard.

We loved the balcony overlooking Lake Superior, the separate bedroom, the location. It was a short walk to restaurants, shopping, interesting sites. Good parking.

The first day of our stay, a dog was barking for at least two hours in one of the other units.

I'm a hiker and I visit Grand Marais almost every year. East Bay Suites is my favorite place to stay. The units are consistently clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Also, since I prefer to cook my own food, I appreciate the well-equipped kitchens.

everything was perfect, the village view is amazing so not underestimate it. perfect distance from worlds best donuts and walking distance to everything in the town. room was super cozy, fireplace heater was good to keep things warm

The pull out sleeper was not comfortable. We weren't able to change the temperature so the room was warmer than we preferred.

Our room with a balcony was facing the beach. The bathroom was large with a nice soaking tub. Having a full kitchen was nice.

We didn't find the beds to be very comfy, and the ventilation in the bedrooms themselves was poor so they got stuffy. I would recommend installing AC units in the bedrooms to help. My husband ended up sleeping on the floor in the living room because he was so uncomfortable.

Best location! Pet friendly. We had a two bedroom and it was spacious and well laid out. The kitchen was well stocked with a nice big fridge. The room was spotless, truly, so their housekeeping and facilities teams are doing an excellent job!

Wonderful space for a family with adult kids and a dog. Location is walkable and accessible to in town fun and area attractions. The room was the perfect place to call home base. We are already planning the next trip!

Murphy bed and pillows were not that comfortable but I suppose to be expected. More dissatisfying was the couch that was so old and the leather was peeling everywhere so couldn’t use that.

Location was great with lovely lake views. And kitchenette was nice.
