How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

the extra thick pillows gave us a very bad pain in the neck after 2 days. Could use better room fresheners.
great location. good number of towels and toiletries provided. we checked out at 7 in the morning and it was a smooth process overall. i can stay there again m.

I can't of anything negative to say. Maybe the one and only thing was the hot water to the shower took forever to get hot. But once it got up to temperature it stayed nice and hot for a very long time.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. The Motel was very close to Universal Studios and we were able to walk there. This was our first time in the area and would come back to stay again.

the room was set up really nice !! felt like home.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. They even took the time joke with the kids . highly recommend them and will be use this location again

We were in March and heating was too noisy especially during the night we had to just turn it off.
Very nice staff, they gave us water when checking in and were very helpful. Location is just perfect for Universal Studios, it’s like 20 mins walk. Lot of places to eat incl. gas station and grocery shop on the same street. You can also park your car just in front of the door. Felt kinda safe.

That our stay was too short :-)
The staff was very attentive, polite, knowledgeable and kind. The lockation is within 12 min walking to Universal Studio. Parking is free and right infront of your room. It is a very quiet area and you won`t hear street noises at night. I had a great nights sleep. If you have any special requirements speak to the staff they will help you. The manager was incredible courteous and the staff nice to chat to and knowledgeable about the area.

Nothing major. Some of the things in the hotel didn't work perfectly (i.e. shower door didn't fully shut without swinging), but did not affect the comfortability of our stay at all.
Very spacious hotel and very accommodating employees. Requested to check in after regular check in time and they made the extra effort to accommodate.

The only thing in our room and it's not a big deal is there were marks all over the wall like it needed to be painted. Otherwise everything was great.
I love the way I was greeted by the two gentlemen.. They were kind, thoughtful and funny. They were very accommodating as We checked in later than expected. He was kind, thoughtful and understanding.

Only thing like I said was parking is tight but not a deal breaker.
The staff was friendly and very informative. The room was cozy and very clean, not perfect minor imperfections like scuffs on the walls from furniture being moved and toilet seat was a bit loose but we didn't mind those things since its truly nothing important. Parking is tight but not impossible if you know how to park in reverse you will be just fine. Super close to universal studios. Great place for the price.
