How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Very convenient location close to the airport. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. The bar, restaurant area was under construction/renovations but they still provided happy hour food and drinks.

I was not a fan of the smell of paint from the construction happening. It irritated my sinuses.
I loved the suite. Shower was wonderful and bed was comfortable. Loved the sitting area as well. Managers reception was a nice touch. Front office staff was great.

The dining area was generally quite rough and ready. The stairs were very dirty. Furniture in the dining area was old and very worn
The room was very comfortable with an adjoining living area and small kitchen. The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was nice.

Very accommodating! Our flight was cancelled and fortunately we were able to book this room. We were stranded BUT felt rescued! Walked in to such hostility. A little burger bar with fresh cooked burgers and wings AND happy hour! What a blessing for weary travelers!

The bed was extremely comfortable and the property was very clean. The made to order breakfast was very good and everything was fresh. The chef was very personable too. I was only there for one night but I'd have easily stayed longer.

Some furniture in lobby needs updating (upholstery). Pool area patio needs updating soon (cracks). Recommended: go all in with environmentally friendly and cut out all paper/plastic cups/don’t overuse knapkins
Beautiful decor and artwork. Free happy hour drinks and snacks. Extremely friendly staff (and guests!) Nice, large room. Very clean. Comfortable beds. airconditioning worked well. Beautiful, extremely clean pool/jacuzzi/gym. Great location. Quiet. Nice lobby. Free parking. Good dining options. excellent hotel restaurant. Excellent breakfast with REAL plates and silverware separate this hotel from the pack (environmentally more friendly)

We were locked out of our room because the battery died. So it took some time to get in.
Restored rooms are wonderful. Breakfast is wonderful and they custom make omelettes.

There was a smell of gasoline in the hallway due to some work being done there.
The staff were very friendly and professional. We went in our room initially and there was a leak over the sink. The immediately moved us and sent someone up with our new room keys. I thought that was special. We had a nice walk to our room initially and this was moving us further down. We were tired and were pleasantly surprised with 4 people coming to our room to check out our concern and then have the keys in hand. The breakfast was very good. The cooks were very organized and professional under pressure.

The pool area needs to be monitored by staff. There were people who treated the pool like ot was their own personal. Playing loud music and liquor. It was not good for kids and families.
I loved the friendliness of the staff and that I was greater with cold bottled water. The room was the perfect size. The breakfast tasted great.

It felt as though the facilities were getting old. There was a damp rag on the carpet near the AC unit and the carpeting in that corner was noticeably damp. It took a long time to get hot water from the shower. Also, the channels on the TV were intermittent. All in all, I expected more from an Embassy Suites.
The staff was very courteous. The breakfast was really nice.
