Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Surprisingly delightful. Tom is very knowledgeable about the area and provided coffee and a goodie in the morning. The rooms are spacious and interestingly decorated. If ever we were to come this way again, we would stay here again.

United StatesI didn't find a thing.
Older motel but super clean and Tom was a real joy, and I loved talking with him.You could tell that there was a lot of planning to make this place a little different that other motels. Keep in mind that this is a tiny town way out in the country. A lady we talked to said she had to drive one way 250 miles to get to a Walmart.

United StatesWhile the sky light in the room cast a warm and welcoming glow to the room, it woke us up too early. But it was a beautiful window.
We liked the downtown location and the coziness of the room. The beds were awesome, not cheap like other places. The Inn did not allow children which we enjoyed since we were traveling as a couple. Tom made us feel very welcome and his hospitality was excellent.

United StatesThe only thing that would be a nice addition to the room would have been a small fridge (As the property is not large, there was a communal, large fridge outside the room to store our food in with plenty of room, but each room having their own small fridge would be a little nicer.)
The room was wonderful! (I literally said "oh, wow) when we walked in.) It was large, had a vaulted ceiling with a skylight, was very clean and beautifully decorated with a southwest theme, including a painted mural on one wall and a cute stuffed animal lion on the bed to greet us! We slept great as the bed had a nice, firm, high-quality mattress and the bathroom was also huge with a full-sized tub and a shower to comfortably accommodate my 6'2" partner. The owner Tom was very nice and accommodating and offered us fresh brewed coffee and muffins in the morning; we would definitely stay there again!!!

United StatesI did not know until we arrived that coolers were not allowed in the room.I did know that there wasn’t a refrigerator but I didn’t think it would be a problem since we had our cooler. But when the cooler is supposed to stay in a hot car all the time even with ice things get warm.
The room we stayed in was very clean and welcoming,it felt like a hone away from home.Loved the room decor and all the thought put into it.The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding places to visit in the area.

This is a gem in an unexpected place, the heart of the Grand Staircase-Escalante region on scenic 12. The rooms are gorgeous, so much care taken on every detail, a boutique experience. And everything orchestrated by an exceptionally amiable host.

United StatesThe owner is a bit too hands on. He opened the door without knocking to a room with three women about an hour before we had to depart. They (3 women) waited outside of our room to clean at least 30 minutes before checkout. At exactly checkout time of 10 am, the owner walked into the room and started stripping beds with the three women who were waiting outside. I thought he was was a bit too invasive. I won’t stay there again. Too bad, because it was a nice, clean room and great location. Don’t piss the owner off or he will “kick you out”. We are three older women - quiet, respectful and rule followers.
It was an amazing property. The room was very comfortable and clean.

United StatesThe skylight in our room was not welcome at 5:30 am. Should have a way to cover it in the summertime. There was also rusted barbwire on the walls as part of a mural-very dangerous and I scraped my arm on it. The oversized rustic pine bed frame made getting in and out of the bed a real challenge.
The breakfast was good and so was the location.

United StatesThe owner is very rude and demanding. He will give you a long list of silly rules, that he will insist you read. he has a bunch of rules that will cost you money if you don’t toe the line. 10am checkout or a huge fine. No coolers in the room, he says he will fine you 300 if you are a smoker and your clothes smell like tobacco, and on and on. I just hate to give this guy any of my money.
