Poor security thin walls. Has to change my room twice due to thins walls, air conditioner have out on 2nd day. They moved us to another room that smelled like mildew, then moved us again

The room didn’t had hot water, we live on the water running for 10min and the water just get room temperature, reception sent a plumber to see what happened, he open the robinete and the shower ones to allow the water to run faster m, he stays for another 15 min aprox in our room by the time we was ready to go for dinner, the hot water finally came but in the morning same story, no hot water and we had to check out, no time to wait. Another think the walls are from paper, you can hear all the talk from the other rooms, and we where unlucky that our neighbors were very loud, so we could not sleep before 2am until they sleep.

Outdated. No dresser in room. No table in room. No hot water. Employee entered room during the night unannounced and uninvited…when we got to the door he ran away. When we talked to the front desk we were told it was hotel protocol….. completely unacceptable . If indeed it was hotel protocol the employee should not have run away he should have explained himself.

I DO NOT LIKE THAT THE FRONT ENTRANCE AREA HAS BEEN REDUCED TO ACCOMODATE THE ADJOINING RESTAURANT-Bacon Bish. I also wish that you did not have to walk so far to use the resort fee amenities like bike rentals.

Bosay(sp?) Is ALWAYS PLEASANT, PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOMMODATING when we stay at Essex. We have been staying here for years and will always choose this hotel when traveling to South beach. I love the smell of the lobby (they should put that scent in the rooms) . I love that the suite rooms have jacuzzi tubs for relaxation.

Bathroom in lobby did not have a door knob on the inside. Both myself and one of my guests in my party was LOCKED inside the bathroom. My guest didn't have her phone and had to bang on the door.

Because the hotel is so old so are the pipes my toilet kept getting stopped up, my tube and sink were stopped up as well

It’s a very old hotel historic, it was very clean the staff was super friendly and kind. I was super close to all my activities and I had access to the Clevelander I would definitely stay here again

I was charge $100 for cleaning which was never returned to me . We left the place in the order that we found it was supposed to get reimbursed but with avail didn’t receive my $100 made any inquiries no response.

THE ADVERTISEMENT ON BOOKING.COM WAS REALLY MISGUIDING. IT SHOWS AND MENTIONS THE HOTEL HAS A POOL. THIS IS NOT FULLY THE CASE. THE SISTER HOTEL HAS THE POOL, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE 21 YEARS OLD TO ATTEND. THIS IS NOT MENTIONED OR CLEAR. SO, IN MY CASE, TRAVELING WITH MY DAUGHTER, WE HAD TO FIND OUT AFTER BOOKING WHEN ASKING AT THE HOTEL. THIS IS REALLY BAD MARKETING AND ADVERTISEMENT OF THE HOTEL AND, AS A GUEST, REALLY DISAPPOINTING.

STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND SUPPORTIVE, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT CAME TO LEAVING THE HOTEL BEFORE TIME. STAFF WAS ONLY SUPPORTIVE AND HELPFUL.

The pretty picture they had painted of this hotel..!The toilet didn’t work well,The Jacuzzi is isn’t a Jacuzzi..!Their isn’t any real parking other than valet parking at 1 fee pre night..!Ask for housekeeping and they came and just made up the bed ,Not changing sheets and changing towels..! Chair broke on my aunt in her suit ..! Water didn’t get hot..!

The parking prices are ridiculous, I think the guest of the hotel should at least get a deal or more so free parking besides the public . Or there needs to be only a designated parking for the quests !

they didn’t want me checkin earlier, restroom wasn’t work at lobby, they people loud who is staying there 24 hours, hard to sleep at night, no hot water in the room I had to call maintenance, when u call on lobby they don’t answer the phone so I have to go downstairs to ask to fix water things, they charge me double for resort fee and deposit when I checked out. floor in room was dirty. hotel really bad. I will never come back.

They lied about the size of the beds. we reserved two queens and got only full size beds. The tub was clogged and maintenance never came to fix it. We were charged $100/night for incidentals. This property was too expensive to have these issues.

Noisy location one block from Ocean Boulevard. Room in need of upgrade. Breakfast is a coffee and croissant which needs to be picked up at a busy cafe next door. Overall not great value for the room rate
