Not much of a view, kitchenette wasn't working properly (of 2 stove ranges, one wouldn't heat at all and another would heat up to somewhat lukewarm condition; you could make scrambled eggs, but couldn't boil them... or anything else). Also, we were somewhat taken aback when what supposed to be "2 bedroom suite with the sofa in the leaving room" as advertisement said turned out to be 3 bedrooms with no "leaving room" ( or any sofa) at all: yes, there was more than enough sleeping space, but not much of space to hang out together as a family.

Steps from a great beach, restaurants, everything!

Being in a room next to the lift was a little noisy, with people coming and going.

Proximity to beach and Diamond Head; easy check-in and out process, comfortable bed and pillows!

The room is kind of old and need to be upgraded. There is no desk or table and chair in the room which made me inconvenience.

    The parking is good.

Unlike some reviewers, we had no problems at all.

Good value, location on quiet street near the beach, with many buses plying Kuhio Ave nearby. #20 bus ($3 exact cash) runs between airport and hotel.

Elevator looks like its on its last leg, halls are in need of some cosmetic help.

Close to the beach, zoo. Several decent (reasonable prices) restaurants close by. Beds were not comfortable at all unless you like a REALLY firm mattress.

Resort fees, parking fee ($34/day) and all added over $100 per night. No housekeeping the entire length of my stay which was over a week. I got towels, coffee and trash removed directly via the front desk or housekeepers in the hallway. Bare feet turned black. Left it cleaner than I found it. No AC outlet next to the bed; across the room 9on the floor. Only power outlet for coffee maker was on the bathroom sink. No settled lighting. Really glaringly bright. The garbage truck came through at 4:28 a.m., banging and creating awful noise. Leaf blower at 6:30am weekdays. The parking felt safe but observing the street at all hours of the night showed a lot of foot traffic through there. Saw 8 people an evening sift through a public ashtray to pick out cigarette butts to smoke. Lots of scavengers too.

Greeting though no lei. Yet plenty of coffee. Friendly fellow at the check-in. Housekeeping was very helpful. The room had the basics covered. The bed was comfortable. The stove with exhaust fan were helpful. The Lanai balcony was wonderful to watch the sun rise and storms roll through. Enjoy your coffee for the morning there. The upstairs area for viewing the Sun set is on the 8th floor requiring a whole slide of steps. Parking was exceedingly convenient. Korean, Thai / Chinese, empanada and hot dog trucks are on the same block. ABC drugstore a one block walk.

The rooms are a bit dated. But that didn't phase me too much. Kitchen facilities in some of the rooms are small. but the photos are accurate.

the room set up is great for groups of friends traveling together. There's not a lot of information from the photos, but if you call the front desk they are very helpful. The location was perfect, right near the beach, only a couple miles from Diamond Head, and a short walk from all the great restaurants. I would stay here again. The staff was super helpful, they were generous with towels, beach towels, recommendations, etc.

when we arrived, the receptionist was rather rude. a bit empathy and a nice welcoming would have been nice after 22h flying. they seems to not really care but that’s prob the same in most lower budget places in Waikiki. the first room we got was truly disgusting. dead bug in the shower, hair in the bed, Pubic hair in the bathroom, dirty surfaces, dirty carpets, old and rusty appliances especially in the bathroom. we then however requested to change the room and luckily there was another available. that was quite quick thank god. that room was somewhat better but still wasn’t comfortable walking barefoot on that carpet really. but at least it looked more decent so in the end we came to peace with it, mostly for its location and price.

we loved the location. it’s was just at the end of Waikiki so you had the best of both worlds in terms of green spaces and the buzzing Waikiki at your doorstep. it’s a bit less crowded and the beach a bit more natural what we liked. beach is also super close. we walked to diamonds head which was also nice. it was also the cheapest we can find so that was helpful too.

The entire hotel is not the youngest anymore. The rug and furniture are worn, hard to clean after so many years of use. Anywhere else they would not get away with this price/performance ratio, but this is Waikiki, so sattle up. The good and bad news is all the others are the same or you are willing to pay 3x.

Location is the key for this hotel, rest is average.

Nothing. FYI The food trucks down the street are pretty mediocre and super slow (thai one especially)... don't be fooled by their awesome proximity to hotel. Rookie mistake

    Rooms - old and small

The rooms are old and everything is pretty much outdated. For this money, they should do better. The staff was very nice, and we got the room with a “view” (small window towards the ocean), everything else is a bummer.
