The age of the property cannot be ignored. The musty, mildew smell never dissipated. The 3 lamps did little to actually light up the room. The elevator is quite slow. Every train and semi-truck rumbles and shakes the building. Having better doors/seals might help.

Of the two motels in Jefferson, it is by far the better one. I like the new furnishings.

I really can't pin point anything that didn't meet my expectations. I have stayed there before while visiting family and friends and I'm sure I will stay there again. If you are a light sleeper like I am, you might not like the location because there is train tracks right across the street and there's several trains that comes through with horns blowing during the early mornings. Also you are on a major road and you can hear the songs of the large semi trucks.

Check-in process was quick and simple. The staff was friendly and meet my expectations. The room was clean and everything worked.

Room light fixtures had many burnt out bulbs and could use some basic renovation like patching holes and painting.

Cheap price and decent place to stay a night. Staff was nice and helpful with providing coffee packets.

This time the sheets were dirty, the wall by one bed was very nasty, the bathroom light did not work the hair dryer did not work…management obviously was only renting rooms out and not doing any maintenance

Booked through booking.com and it shows that a hot breakfast is included in the stay. After supplying credit card info and getting the receipt it says no meal plan available. At check in we find out that breakfast has not been served since COVID or for the past 3 years. So I guess my issue is not with the hotel but with booking.com and its failure to provide accurate information prior to making a selection for a place to stay. At check-in they suggested McDonald's across the street but Thanksgiving day it was closed so no breakfast.

In room 114, the fridge was not working and the TV was difficult to turn and get the channels. The location is near the highway and railroad so it was very noisy at night. We did not get any sleep.

I was a bit curious about the breakfast offered / advertised online ................ until I went down on the first morning, only to be shown a sign on the reception counter saying "No Breakfast due to Covid restrictions" Found this rather incredible.

Right beside highway and there was heavy 18 wheeler traffic. Every time that a big truck drove by, the building and my bed shook.

Could’ve been a little bit cleaner. There were a few bugs in the room that were dead. The fridge had a little residue left in there but other than that nothing was wrong.

The rooms were spacious. The location was perfect. The bed was comfortable didn’t feel uncomfortable like most hotel beds.

Had trouble getting room key to work. Light switch right inside the door didn't work. Could see light coming from under the door and hear the train that came by 6 times during the night blowing his whistle making it hard to sleep. Found a bug crawling on the floor. Shower curtain was not even close to the tub. Didn't even touch it and there were 2 of us and only one set of towels, so we had to make do with what we had to dry off after our shower. Room also had a stale musty odor.

No breakfast. They had a sign saying it wasn't available due to covid, even though the pandemic is over. The bed was a good height for me. Most beds are too high. Room was clean and cool when we got there.

Tub was slippery and no grab bars. I did not feel secure in the tub. Wash cloths are too small - not even the size of my handkerchief.
