Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomRoom Experience: The room on the 6th floor was very noisy, overlooking a courtyard with large air conditioning units generating significant noise at night. This greatly affected the quality of sleep. Check-In Receptionist: The check-in experience was disappointing. The receptionist was absolutely awful, showing no courtesy with no greeting, and instead appeared absorbed in her personal mobile phone. We were kept waiting without a hello or a smile, making the overall check-in process quite unpleasant. Breakfast Experience: Additionally, the breakfast was a waste of time. There was only one staff member, who couldn't keep up with the number of guests. The choices were limited as everything was empty, and items were not replenished quickly enough. The use of plastic/recyclable cutlery, coffee dispensers without labels, and three milk dispensers, all of which were empty, added to the disappointment. Furthermore, there was no fruit available.
The hotel is in a great location, and the bed is really comfortable.

United KingdomThe shower head was fixed and high up which makes washing and keeping your hair dry difficult! Breakfast is a little like a canteen with shared tables but food and staff were great and was very easy to fill up ready for a day exploring the city.
Location right outside Madison Square Gardens. Lots of accessible locations via walking and subway or train an option as on the doorstep. Bed was comfy, shower was hot & breakfast plentiful

Location was good being opposite Moynihan building of Penn station. It was nice and clean in there with some good quick food options.

United StatesThe bar is not good! I ordered 2 drinks, both way overpriced and not very good at all. I don't mind paying premium for premium cocktails, these were premium price but not premium quality, and not even close. I would avoid the bar 100% if I stayed there again. Aside from that, if you can go up to the rooftop with a good drink from another bar, awesome views!
Great location for proximity to Madison Square Garden. Also very close to the subway, so very convenient to get around Manhattan as well a to and from LaGuardia. The staff were friendly and overall the hotel was good, I would stay here again.

United StatesLocation couldn’t have been more perfect! We were there for 2 shows at Madison Square Garden and this hotel is right across the street! Everything was clean and the large shower was amazing! The breakfast staff was on top of everything. The rooftop bar was closed due to it being November, but you could still go up and take in the amazing views! Only minor negatives were slower elevators and the price wasn’t horrible for NYC but still a good chunk of change! Overall, we had a fantastic stay!

United StatesThe elevators are slower to open than turtle. They do go down fast, but they do not even stop at your floor.
Surprisingly a well maintained and renovated hotel. Which definitely exceeded our expectation. We had booked three rooms, though not all were on same floor. The staff are really good and we’re always there with smile. It’s so close to Penn Station. That you hardly pay anything for your commute. We did Amtrak from VA.
