Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe bill was $30 OVER What we were quoted! That quote included taxes! I was beyond shocked and dismayed. I was disappointed in the repairman and his attitude. Especially when he came back at noon, when we were slated for a 2 pm checkout.
Most of the staff were amazing, particularly Jaquelyn who checked us in at the front desk and the owner. The repairman gaslighted us about a problem with the bathroom light fixture that kept going out, including when I was in the shower.

We met friends elsewhere for breakfast is why we did not eat at the facility. The breakfast offerings look good.. The most outstanding feature for the room was a super shower...plenty of pressure and great head on the shower. The best pressure I nave seen in a Hotel.

United Statesthe location was fine along with the many other hotels on the same two blocks. but it was filthy. behind the bathroom door was terrible dirty and the wallpaper was all coming off, the remote batteries for the tv were dead, the drawer on the nightstand kept opening by itself so when I got up in the middle of the night I cut and bruised my leg on the corner of it, drapes were dirty, the heat/air in the room couldn’t be adjusted, stayed on full blast and couldn’t adjust the temp so we were FREEZING at night and had to get blanket from the car and sleep in our clothing, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed between the nightstand and the bed and there were all crumbs which was gross and the carpet in the hallway had been laid but not tacked down so we all tripped a couple times catching our shoes on the carpet that was bunched up. it was just all over kind of a scummy place and I’m very upset that you took advantage of moms weekend at U of I and charged $400/night for the place. terrible price gouging and i will never use a Marriott again because of it and the word will go out. the only bright part was your staff at the front who on all shifts were exceptional and friendly.
