Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Switzerlandit is an old charming hotel. the bathroom was old, knobs and handles were loose, there were two beds but only one night stand. not enough space to store clothes. they should put more shelves and hangers
the location was the best. In was in the middle of all important sights. we walked everywhere. metro station only 1 minutes away and the entrance to the Mass pike highway was around the corner

Corner room Suite. My wife and I appreciate historic houses and buildings. To us it was perfect. Younger nouveau riche wouldn’t get it! They couldn’t fathom the craftsmanship from 100 years ago that’s in that hotel.

United StatesMy room 542 was below par. No view from window - compressors and brick. Bathtub showed former turquoise paint showing through the white veneer. I was disappointed to find no gift shop/snacks - only directions to 24/7 CVS across the park.

United KingdomOur first room was tiny, and as we were there for a week, we had to move. This meant an increase of $80 dollars per night, which we accepted. However it ended up being $110 dollars extra, once all the extra taxes were added on - so overall value for money was not necessarily seen
Hotel entrance and reception are stunning. The staff were so pleasant and helpful - we couldn't ask for more from them. Its location is ideal, and as it was New Year when we were there the show and fireworks were fantastic

United StatesI would have liked to have seen a sundry shop or somewhere in the hotel where you could pick up essentials that I needed unexpectedly. I had to get up at 4:30 am and go across the street to the CVS o pick up Advil and and other items because she forgot to bring. She had horrible cramps and needed something to relieve the pain.

Location is very good. Hotel restaurant was amazing. One of the best stake I have ever eat. Highly recommended. Very close downtown Boston.

United Statesthe dog smelled at front desk. I wish I had known about the dog as we are not pet people. also way too few front desk staff. had to wait at check in and check out. the purell was out in the stations near main door. the room decor was old and beautiful but run down - carpet in room ripping apart, wallpaper coming apart at seams above bed and near shower. electrical connections were a fire hazard waiting to happen- I wanted to make hot water in the hot pot in the room but was a crazy extension cord system and too small of a tippy table to make it in safely so I skipped it. there was a whole lot of dust in fan above the shower- better cleaning needed. Plus someone else’s sock from another stay was left behind one of the curtains.
Copley square location was Amazing. Restaurant staff and food were amazing. Beds very comfortable but could have sued one more throw blanket most hotels often have in a closet.
