Thin walls, could hear neighbors easily. Pricing was expensive and did not include a complimentary breakfast. Had to pay high prices for every meal. The restaurant wait, even with a reservation, was unacceptable, but the staff at least were friendly.

The balcony view of the park is fantastic! Seeing the wild horses was a plus! Being in the park was amazing!

Excellent location and very comfortable. Also great view! WiFi wasn't working in room but was at the lodge. Was kind of nice not having in the room for a change. The food at the restaurant was excellent, a very nice surprise. Highly recommend a stay here when going to the park.

The visitor center is closed. We arrived before sunset but after the front park gate was closed so didn’t get a map. I thought we would get information when we checked in, but nothing in the lobby, which I thought was strange. The girl that checked us in said our room was opposite reception area so we ate dinner before finding room( as it was going to close) we got our bags from the car and walked in the dark to where she said our room was. Nope. Half an hour of walking in the dark, lugging bags and phone as flashlight, we found the room. She should have said we needed to drive there. Next minting we walked 15minutes to the reception to discover that breakfast is in building down the road. Had to walk back to room to get car keys and then walk back to car at reception to drive to breakfast. I was so irritated. After breakfast (which was a great buffet and lovely lady to help) we drove to visitor center, confusing walk to that building…:only discover it’s closed down. No wifi or tv in room, which was basic…but it’s a lodge and I explained to my kids a bit like camping. They didn’t like that though.

Incredible location. Amazing views from restaurant and great to even look at the stars at night. Fascinating history and great hikes but start early before heat of day and bring water

No chairs on deck. Room was tiny & crowded with spare furnishings. Had to change key which stopped working after 1st night. Metate Restaurant was very short staffed, with 1 server managing 14 tables & food was served cold, but I didn’t complain because I’d already waited 1 hr 15 minutes to get seated & have my order taken (7:30 reservation; 7:50 seating; 8:15 order taken; 8:45 food served). Staff were helpful & friendly but overworked & under trained.

    Great view in national park.

The room is a little dated. The shower small. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was not serviced after the first night. But I say this only to set expectations. The location of the hotel is so good that it is worth putting up with these room inconveniences. We are glad we did.

The location is wonderful both from its setting and for the convenience of accessing the park sites. I rated the value for money high for this reason.

The room was very small but we finally made it work, the food was good but pricey with limited choice. Only 1 place for dinner and 1 other place for breakfast and lunch that we had to drive to.

The park was great, the view spectacular. The rustic look fit in with the park. We would not let the inconveniences keep us from going.

The restaurant on site was very short staffed, it being the end of the season, so we opted for much faster take out and ate in our room once and once in the Lodge library space. Food was very tasty.

Great to be right inside Mesa Verde Park. I loved our balcony where I sat about an hour before sunrise and gazed at the sky stuffed with stars and savored the immense and wonderful silence.Rooms are on the small side but comfortable.

Toilet paper holder was non-existent. I did not like handling a half-used roll of paper that was sitting on the back of the toilet. Coffee maker messed up a couple of times, but it did make coffee for me and friends in the next room. Their coffeemaker did not work. There were no maps to be handed out, they were out.

Room was comfortable. I have stayed here before and had better views, but this stay was adequate.
