Our room had sand on the ground when we checked in which was a little uncomfortable, but other than that it was a reasonable stay.

The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom was dated, dingy, and tight. The motel was not as secure as I would prefer, the outer doors/gates were always open. I'm not sure if Delaware is more safe than where I'm from, but it made me a bit nervous because I have young children. The main road was really busy, too.

Customer service was excellent!!!! The woman at the front desk took care to warn us about jaywalking fines. She warned us about being too loud after 11pm, in the kindest manner, to avoid complaints from other guests. She also called to let us know we left an item in our room after checkout. Extremely appreciated the thoughtfulness. The pool hours are amazing!!! 8am - 11am Which kept the children busy when the adults wanted to mingle. The beach is a 10 minute walk, a straight shot (but use the crosswalk, of couse). The hotel is on the main vain street to EVERYTHING. And MANY things are within walking distance.

They didn’t give us lollipops upon check in. Kinda weird because we always get something at check in. And we had to give our cards back which sucked because I like to keep mine for souvenirs. Due to this inconvenience, we are entitled to a $100 refund.

They had a ice machine. It was the best damn ice we’ve ever laid our eyes on. Also a nice pool. It was wonderful for people watching.

Beds were HORRIBLE and badly need updated. It was hard as rock & very thin spring mattress that was very very old & moved around to easily. Over all place was pretty clean but some area's definitely needed updated. I wasn't impressed that we were asked to take our own garbage out yet garbage overflowed for almost 2 days at the garbage can so people were just throwing it on the floor around it. But I can't stress enough that beds need replaced! Most people when going to beach don't tend to hang in room and can deal with quirks with room etc but most important part tends to be a comfortable place to sleep & be able to rest well! Beds beds beds are SUPER important to a renter.... 😉

The location was great, staff was very friendly and accommodating, parking was easier than most places at beach that we have stayed at, was always a spot available easily. View was ok. Cleaniness of room was pretty good overall.

The bathroom could us an update, the toilet is way to small. the sink drain did no drain well and had gunk in it. Tub is old and could use a refresh. shower head was good. Beds were okay.

Family friendly atmosphere, pool setting overlooking canal, smaller size of motel not in a cluster of others. Proximity to beach just off quaint residential neighborhood good for walking. Good restaurants within walking distance.

No elevator so had to carry luggage to second floor. No housekeeping “due to COVID”, even though everything is back to normal. No freezer in the small fridge in the room. very old and dirty ice machine

The room was very clean but could have been more updated. The shower and bed was pretty dated. The walls were also fairly thin so on our second night, we were woken up by a crying baby.

The location was ideal. It was a very short walk to the beach and also near a lot of different shops. The staff while checking in and out was very friendly.

The location and staff were wonderful. The hotel was an older hotel with older towels, sheets and decor but very clean and we loved the balcony and pool overlooking the bay canal pool was excellent and sitting was new out there and comfortable. Restaurants easy to get to

the floors were covered in sand and there was not a way to clean them up during ur stay. also the children in the motel were in the pool very late at night. they were very loud and you can not sleep because of the noise

I had put in a request to have our room cleaned and it never happened. So I had to go get my own towels, take out my own trash, tidy up and wipe things down a bit -for we stayed a whole week
