Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe breakfast was great and was available later than most breakfasts offered at hotels. My only complaint was the hash browns were only so-so, haha. In other words, no complaints at all.
The room was amazing, I had a two bedroom two bath suite, with a full kitchen. It was all updated and spotless. The hot tubs were open, warm, and clean, and one of the two pools was already open, heated to 80 degrees, in April. The staff was beyond nice and very helpful. The location is great, very close to the heavenly gondola and the casinos. Plus the property is right next to Van Sickle bi-state park with hiking trails.

VietnamPrice was a little higher than we hoped for but the free parking and giant breakfast made up for it.
They have done a great job revamping an older hotel into a modern, inviting space. The location to the Gondola can’t be beat, and the breakfast and wine hour were major bonuses. The hot tub was nice and we appreciated free parking. We got upgraded to a suite (major bonus!) that was decadently luxurious - “this is practically the size of my apartment” said our Bay Area friend. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

United StatesProximity to both the Heavenly gondola and the free Heavenly shuttle service to the California and Stagecoach bases is a big plus. Both are within 10 minutes walk at a moderate pace. (However, we waited 60-90 minutes in the Heavenly shuttle line during the blizzard conditions that prevailed during our stay. Go to the shuttle station early if the Gondola is not scheduled to open! ) The breakfast selections were quite good and plentiful. The breakfast service team was excellent. They work so hard, keep all items replenished, and are super friendly even during the morning rush hour. Lodge did a great job of extending breakfast seating options beyond the breakfast room into the bar and lounge. We had one repair needed. Maintenance showed up within 5 minutes of my evening call to the front desk, did a quick fix to get us through the night problem-free and a full fix the next day. The maintenance team were efficient, effective, great with communication, and very friendly and service minded. The same is true of the housekeeping team. The large entry way in our 2-bedroom suite was set up very well for a ski trip. There was plenty of room to hang four adults' damp gear in an open area such that everything dried overnight. We greatly appreciated that the hot tubs remained open during the three-day long blizzard conditions we experienced - and the loaner shovels. Hopefully a suite will be available during our next ski trip to South Lake!
