Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It’s very close to Boston Common, Newbury Street, different underground stations, so it’s perfectly located to explore the city. The Bed was very comfortable!

I liked where it was located. It was very easy to get from place to place. And it was also very very easy to find.

United StatesI was on the ground level, and it was loud at night/in the morning as people came in or checked out. This is out of the control of the hotel staff, of course, and not a reflection on the hotel as a whole. It is just a bit of an unlucky happenstance. If I end up there again, I will request a room higher up. In my room, there was a really cool phone charge and plug in an alcove by the bed. Unfortunately, you had to have the light switch on for the outlet to work, so I would have had to have the light over the bed on all night to charge there-- a bit of a design flaw.
Location was great. Close to public transportation and the Boston Commons and Freedom Trail. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They had public transportation maps and suggested places to eat. Clean, comfortable bed. Really a great place to stay. I will likely come back here if I end up visiting Boston again.

United StatesThe view out my window was pretty bad - it faced the center of the building and a room directly across from mine. A couple foot wide courtyard was in the center. It made the room pretty dark. Not the end of the world but I would have loved to look out and see the city.
The staff was very friendly and greeted guests when they left and came back. The room was clean and mostly quiet. There was free coffee in the lobby which I really liked! The hotel is near a CVS and plenty of restaurants.

United KingdomThe bed was very uncomfortable but the pillows were great! It did the job for my four nights but something to consider. Pretty pricy considering it was a basic room and amenities but the price was to be expected with a big US city.
Super friendly Front of House staff, notably Dylan and Kendall. It was great to chat to them and they always went out of their way to offer suggestions and advice on where to visit. I was on a leisurely solo trip so the city was my oyster! The hotel is in a great location; less than a 5 minute walk to Boston Common, the T, and walking distance from all the sites. The room is small but perfectly adequate and the bathroom was spacious, modern and clean. It’s pretty basic but did the job for me. Good hairdryer, TV, safe and a small wardrobe plus desk and chair.
