Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe staff were okay, not all of them were the friendliest of people. This isn’t such a big deal but it was something that I didn’t like. They gave free water at the property but only like 1-2 bottles per day. We didn’t get the room cleaned during our 1 week stay, because we didn’t want it cleaned so our water was not given. We used the water to make tea / coffee also. We are from the UK and have 5 cups of tea a day each. And there was 5 of us. Using just 2 bottles a day. We asked reception if we could have more water, but there was always hesitation. I would assume since there is 5 of us, we would be given atleast 5 water bottles.
The location was good, near the metro (2 mins walk). And 15 mins walk from Times Square. 5 mins walk to the start of 5th avenue. We asked for the 2nd room we booked to be on the same floor as our other room- this request was granted. So we are grateful for that. There’s a small gym at the property. They give emergency tooth brushes if needed at reception. The deposit was returned quickly into my account after check out.

United StatesMy family and I didn’t like how stuffy the room was. The first night there was a headache because e could barely breathe when we got to the room. Turning the a/c on didn’t help at all. We were scared to open the window for fresh air because there was no screen and didn’t want to let any bugs in. Nonetheless we came home stuffy and coughing.
I enjoyed that Time Square was in walking distance. We were close, but not too close to hear all the commotion from the square all night long. The staff was so nice and helpful. Very efficient as well. We requested a microwave and within maybe 30 minutes the staff was there to bring it. While in the room had realized the outlet didn’t work and said he would put the request into maintenance. He did and instead of waiting maintenance came in right away (11pm) to resolve the issue.

Clean comfortable room. No breakfast on site. Some restaurants within a 3-5 minute walk. Friendly staff. There are two grocery stores and a CVS within a block. Walked and Ubered everywhere.

IrelandThe lighting in the room isn't great, and the room itself is very very basic. House keeping was good and kept the room clean, but the actual carpet/ furniture etc. is dated and dirty. The bathroom wasn't great either, but honestly for a 3 star hotel you get what you paid for. New York is so expensive so if you are looking for a higher end hotel, you will pay an arm for it. The staff didn't interact much and could have been a bit more accommodating but I wouldn't say that they were rude either. House keeping were lovely.
The location is excellent, 10 minute subway to time square, West village/Greenwich Village, Soho. Subway is only a quick 2 minute walk from the hotel and the actual subway station is one of the cleaner ones we've been to. The beds were super comfy and the shower was easy to use. The location of the hotel is very close to everything and in a nice area, its only about a 10 minute walk to the heart of Chelsea too. For all the time we spent in the hotel room it done the job, literally just getting ready in the morning there and coming back at night to sleep.
