The old world charm was delightful and the decor was outstanding. We loved the location - central to everything and easy to walk the city. The extras such as wine and cheese, breakfast, milk and cookies at night were a real bonus!

The hotel was lovely and super convenient to the amazing markets and a great selection of restaurants, cafes and shops. The rooms are spacious and have an old world elegance. I really appreciated the extras like the champagne on arrival - what a great idea - and the wine and cheese hour and the milk (or port) and cookies. Staff could not have been more helpful. I've never experienced such hospitality and I've stayed at a lot of good places over the years. What a treat to end the holiday

Everything. This hotel was wonderful from the staff to the accommodations. The location was central to all the activities and shopping in Charleston. The hotel offered breakfast, wine and cheese in the evening and cookies and milk after 8. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. My bed was very hard. Marvin rectified it with a pillow topper. Plus down pillows. The ambiance was elegant. The couch and chair in the living room needs recovering or replacing. Probably the mattress too. The bathroom needs an updated toilet, better lighting and a heater for when it is cold. One thing that will stop me from returning not pet friendly. Maybe you all will consider in the future.
