No full service restaurant, the Tipsy Turtle had good eats but it was basically a beach sandwich and fries shop with alcoholic drinks, no inside tables.

The room was very good and it had everything advertised including a sea view, private balcony, on which you could smoke if you needed to. Also a big hot tub and very nice pool, which we could see from our room.

The only thing I could say that I think needed some care was the decking walking out to the beach. Perhaps it is on the list to do and I'm sure its difficult to keep up with being so close to the water but it needed some boards replaced and a new coat of paint to eliminate all the splintering.

We actually moved from another resort after seeing this resort owned by the same company. We loved this resort because it was right on the beach and the pool was centrally located all within walking distance. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. I saw the staff cleaning the general areas on a daily basis. I also loved the under building parking with lots of space to avoid dings in the car as well as to keep it cool during the day.

This was my second stay. The view was nice. The pool and hot tub were nice and good for the outside temperature.

We requested a beachfront room directly in front of the beach and they said they couldn’t guarantee it. We did not get a direct beachfront view, rather a side view of the beach which was a little disappointing. Also, our balcony faced the pool and other balconies so we we lacked privacy, which is important to us.

The beds were comfortable, the room was well equipped,clean and reasonably priced.

I would have liked to have stayed on the east wing because I like watching the sun come up in the morning. There were no rooms available at the time and the the west wing was acceptable.

Briars on way to beach - you should cut the path back a bit. The dining table was 4-6 inches too high. The chairs made an awful racket scraping over the tiles - you should put some pads or gliders on the feet so they don't disturb the neighbors next door or on the floor under us. A couple of plastic glasses for bathroom use would be nice, instead of all glass glasses.

The view of the beach, kitchen equipment, helpfulness of staff, games to borrow from game room (and basketball and shuffleboard), ease of getting to the beach, you had beach chairs and umbrellas for guests. The pool was nice. The staff was wonderful to us on every level. We were greeted warmly and got set up in our room quickly. Sandy was so helpful and was friendly and warm. She was delightful. I passed on the suggestion that housekeeping could pack the linen bags for the fold out couch with the blanket on the bottom of the bag, and the mattress pad on the top (so that we would take things out in the order needed). She thought that was great, and promised to pass on the suggestion. I felt like she really was listening. Another time my special needs daughter and I were walking to the elevator, and Rashad (I think that was his name) was there and was so kind to my daughter, answering her questions and letting her tell him all that she was doing. I realized I had forgotten something on the table in the room, so while I ran back (Literally) he waited with my daughter. I was so grateful for his kindness and making sure she didn't wander off. And another time, I asked Diana for some help and extra coffee (since I had already used the coffee provided) and she was happy and gracious to give me another pouch of coffee so that we could get a early start to the day.

The air conditioning unit is a bit noisy. The clothes dryer didn’t work well. I’ve asked for adjacent units. It was not explained that the adjacent unit is a bit more expensive. I did not mind paying a bit more if I knew. This is probably more of a Booking.com fault not the Holiday Inn.

I love the location. It’s away from the busy and lots of traffic downtown Galveston area. The property in on the beach which is very nice. The rooms are complete with amenities like mini kitchen, microwave, fridge; and washer and dryer too.

Not much, honestly. The pool got Very crowded and stayed that way throughout the day. The lack of food options was slightly limiting, but nothing we didn't know about before.

1st... I was charged double the quoted price . The pool is very deep . Didn't have any umbrellas to use or rent for beach side also the beach was dirty. Overall , I would have chosen a nicer hotel for the final price I paid.

I wasn’t particularly impressed with the rooms. It wasn’t as nice as I was expecting from the pictures online. I had requested our rooms to be close and they put us on the same wing but three floors apart.

The location was nice because it is right on the beach and you don’t have to cross sea wall blvd to get to the ocean.
