Mrs. erika seemed professionally burnt out with her unnecessary and unjustified answers to questions asked that were not directed at her.In My case twice.I heard about a similar situation in the case of Mrs. Kira,but I haven't had any bad experiences personally.The rest of the staff was very nice,including the owner.Regards and I wish Mrs.erica better personal culture...

Nice,stylish hostel.Clean,quiet,cozy,clean sheets and towels,simple but tasty breakfast.Good location and close to everything.I recommend it.

Rooms were really cold at night. Maybe turn air down a bit after dark.

Friendly and fun staff. Super clean. Met lots of new roommates. Comfortable beds. Private stalls for showers and toilets were great.

Everything is just perfect, maybe is because my favorite color is yellow but the atmosphere was quite unique. You can really tell they have experience in hosting because of all the information they provide before and during your stay. We had a private room, it was kinda quiet but for sure if you want quite you book something else. Breakfast was basic and perfect. Staff super friendly and THE BEST is the location. Me and my boyfriend are not party animal but we enjoyed the gaslamp quarter at night.

Old building, lots of stairs. But good though. Not very inconvenient.

The location is great if you’re just arriving to San Diego. The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. It’s a really cool place if you want to be near downtown.

So they email you about it before your stay but keep in mind that the breakfast is very modest. But it's still free breakfast!

The staff was great and very flexible, a huge shout-out to David who did the Tijuana tour, we had an absolute blast!

Pleasant and helpful workers, but with exception of staff Kira. We were whispering in the hall and she came over in an extremely rude manner to complain to us as if we were shouting. When I asked her why she was acting so rude for no reason at all, she said that I was opposing her, that I was wrong, and told me to pack my things and leave. How does an employee tell a guest to pack his things and leave in the middle of the night for nothing? that is inadmissible!!

The hostel is clean,the bathrooms are great,there are a lot of attractions.The reception staff are mainly three ladies, Cony, Bruna and Tori, extremely nice, smiling and ver very helpful 🙂 The area is great right in the Gaslamp entertainment center,close to shops,public transport, seaport.I recommend it

Lack of an elevator and having to use a top bunk may be problematic for those with mobility issues. Hostels are communal affairs with a social aspect, so introverts may have trouble.

Value for money. Location in the Gaslamp. Near many bars, restaurants, and clubs. Secure. Short walk from both the Trolley and the 992 bus to the airport.

Everything was clean, the staff were amazing and super friendly, the breakfast was nice to have even though it wasn’t an amazing spread it was great for a hostel and better than nothing, the social events were awesome, in the heart of downtown and close to tacos and baseball. Overall an amazing experience!

The lockers were a little loud whenever someone open and closed it so I kept waking up to that.

Very clean place and helpful service. The place made me feel safe because of all the security cameras.

Honestly there wasn't anything I didn't like.

As a solo woman traveller, i felt very safe and welcome at the Hostel. The beds were comfortable, the property was quiet (which was surprising considering it's in a bustling neighbourhood, close to everything), everything was clean including bathrooms, the staff was informative and helpful, they had amenities and laundry (!), the uniqueness of the building itself made the stay above and beyond staying at any other hostel.
