The room just had wooden slats on the windows, but this did not block out all the sunlight adequately enough, which disturbed our sleep in the early morning.

The location was good, close enough to wherever we needed to go, but we had to use a cab to go to the Santa Monica Pier. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. There was parking available on the property.

The bathroom ventilation was loud and only worked when the light was turned on. Consequently, the moisture could not escape the bathroom and sometimes caused a mildly foul smell when I left the room and come back again. But this wasn't a deal breaker at all. As I wrote, the music outside was disturbing but I only heard it on the weekend nights. There's no room view at all, but for this price, it's somewhat understandable.

I liked this hotel. The rooms were spacious, the staff was helpful, and the daily room service left the room spotless each time. The beds were comfortable and big enough. There was breakfast each morning with some sweet croissants and coffee offered to all guests by the hotel. Rooms were mostly quiet except at the weekends when the restaurant located just below played some relatively loud music. Overall, I enjoyed my time there.

It was overpriced. We stayed in various other properties during our California visit, and they were all expensive, but the others were nicer for the same price.

Location was the only positive thing about this hotel. It is dated and the "breakfast" was literally a joke, unless you count coffee and Danish in the wrapper as breakfast.

The gym is not 24 hours, and you have to make a reservation for using it.

The grab and go breakfast is not great, just had a fruit and coffee, and went to a nearby place for breakfast instead. But the hotel doesn't promote it as breakfast either, so at least it's honest, but as improvement suggestion: would be added value if you arrange a proper breakfast for this price. Staff a bit distant towards guests.

Nice, clean and safe hotel, close to metro and buses in case you don't have a car. Good shops and restaurants quite nearby at walking distance.

Our room was very noisy because of the street below (Santa Monica Blvd), so much road noise, ear plugs were a must. I wish we had a room not on the main street but it was not apparent when I booked it that the differences between room prices were due to location in hotel. If I had known, I would have paid a little more for a quiet room.

It was as pictured , good location with freeway access and easy walk to Montana Ave, short Uber to beach.

The location was great. It wasn’t right at the beach, but it was really terrific. One block from Tartine Bakery.

You have to request coffee and tea if you wanted it in your room.

Comfortable room, very clean, on-site parking, friendly staff in reception. Also no breakfast included but they supplied ‘on the go’ bags each morning. Next door to a coffee and shop and restaurant.

Not having a "real" breakfast or a close by place was not good, especially for this price. The "dinner" restaurant wasn't open the night we tried to eat there and everything else was a long walk or car.
