We had problems with the TV. After asking for help, it worked, till the next time. A channel guide could have helped. Would have liked a small fridge for cold drinks. Small things. Nothing major.

We thought it an exceptionally attractive B&B. Smartly decorated in Retro style, bold colors and patterns. It is very clean and fresh, not tired. The Staff is very helpful and friendly and the Breakfasts were beautiful and delicious. Very comfortable. Loved our stay.

We were on bottom floor and it’s very noisy. You can hear everyone walking around late at night/early in the morning, so it was not very restful. Room set up made it hard to settle in space comfortably.

I liked the breakfast and fresh baked cookies. Location was within walking distance to town. The modern decor is nice and like the different areas for guests to enjoy themselves on the property.

If you arrived back late in the evening, the parking lot was full and had to find a spot elsewhere.

Beautiful, clean, nice breakfast options in the mornings and very comfortable bed and pillows. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the sister hotels wine in the evening at a beautiful location too.

Incredibly overpriced; no restaurant; no bar; town center is 1/2 mile away; pool table was only amenity and play stops at 7 pm every night; room was hot; bathroom had a TINY standup shower and separate basin; and no room mini-fridge.

The staff were great, that’s about it.

For the price, we shouldn’t have had to park 2 blocks away because there were no parking spaces left in the lot or on the street and breakfast was a little thin for the price was well. Would I stay again, probably not

This is my second time at the Gilded and it always ends up being a great stay. Location is perfect and the hotel itself is stunningly decorated. Breakfast is included and there is parking in the back.

The room did not have adequate shelf space for clothing or toiletries. We needed to place items on tables and chairs. It was also very dark including the bathroom. Breakfast items were very limited, although the staff was kind enough to make me eggs when there was nothing on the, "small plates" for me to eat.

The location was very good. It was under a 10 minute walk to the center of town and many restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was fine. The room was clean.

Location was great. Place was very charming. I appreciated that they checked in during my stay to see how everything was. I also appreciated the texts ahead of time for parking information. Also the homemade cookies provided to guests were incredibly delicious! The bed was really comfortable, I could’ve slept in it all day.

The breakfast was strange and not tasty. The coffee was undrinkable. The sofa bed was not made up on arrival as requested, however the staff did make the bed when we asked. The sofa bed, however, was extremely uncomfortable. There was no light next to the bed. The price was very high for such a small room. We needed to extend our stay by one night and were not in the mood to pack and change hotels. The hotel offered us a 30$ discount on the second night. However when I saw my bill, it was about $50 MORE expensive than the first night. Their explanation: the rate changes on a daily basis. They should have told us this in advance, however. Even though we extended our stay in the morning, the staff never cleaned our room that day. When I asked about it, they said it was my fault for not putting up a "please clean room" sign. However there was no indication that this was required. Even when I asked if they could clean the room (at about 5pm), they just handed us some new towels. The rest was up to us. The location was OK but you need a car to get to anything of interest in Newport. Nothing is walkable from the house.

The room was extremely small for a queen suite. The worse part was that we could not control the heat and were up all night because it was so hot. The gentleman at the front desk said they either have heat or A/C and it was time for the heat to go on. The weekend we were up there was warm, but it would have been nice for them to switch to A/C. Even with the window open, we roasted. It was very unpleasant sleeping. We did not even stay the second night.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Also, the coffee was delicious!
