Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The view from our patio was incredible! The room itself is pretty basic, but it's clean and comfortable. Check-in seemed kinda hectic, but the front desk crew was patient and professional. Once we shut the door to our room, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed Navajo Tacos at the on-site restaurant. They were larger than expected and pretty tasty. We were delighted with the food, the view, and the staff. The whole ambiance of the place is timeless and enchanting. We had a wonderful stay.

United KingdomRooms dated. Really poor pillows.
View from bed of monument valley can't be beat. Great pizza from gas station store. The larger store 2 mins away had a surprisingly good range of food supplies.

United StatesThese cabins were VERY far from the original hotel and all the amenities, definitely not walking distance unless you wanted to walk up a road, cross a road and then trudge up a long hill driveway. Also our toaster didn't work. There was something on one of the pillows.
The room we ended up in was an actual prefab individual building essentially like having your own cabin. It was quite spacious and well appointed including our own kitchen. Although I don't recall there being a stove or oven but we were only there overnight and didn't need it so I can't say for sure.

United StatesThe room and especially the bathroom was not properly cleaned. It seemed like the toilet did not get cleaned at all. Not really a nice experience.
The location is spectacular and having breakfast with that view is really worth the price of the room. Beds comfortable but I would have liked having at least a microwave in the room. The dining restaurant is nice, the burgers were nothing special though. We also took a tour of the Monument Valley and our tour guide was fenomenal. We did it in April on a very cold and windy day and were not expecting to be that cold and almost freeze on that open bus. I have to say it was worth it though!

GuernseyGoulding’s lodge is steeped in history and is located as close as it gets to the Monument Valley entrance. It has a great restaurant serving locally inspired food including the delicious Navajo burrito. The Museum profiling the life of Harry and Mike Goulding and how they brought Hollywood to Monument Valley was fascinating.

The location of the hotel was great. It is very close to The Monument Valley Welcome Center where many of the tours pick up. It is also close to the Visitors Center. There are many amenities on site and they actually offer tours as well. Breakfast was not complimentary, but was offered in the on site restaurant. It was very good. The staff were helpful.

United StatesIf you have mobility issues, book a first floor room as there is no elevator. Indoor pool closed early, 7pm, and the museum was closed the day we were there. Neither was a deal killer. I wished they turned down the neon signs at night at the gas station as it distracts from the gorgeous view.
The view from our balcony was spectacular. We enjoyed it at sunrise and sunset. We loved seeing the movie Stagecoach in their movie theater. It was helpful having a grocery store, gas station and laundromat across the street. There is a restaurant that looks nice but we opted for the movie instead. Room was snug but adequate with everything we needed.

United StatesService at the restaurant - with so many people becoming Vegan for health or ethical reasons a selection of vegan items on the menu is essential. Also non-dairy substitutes should be available.
The location is great just a few miles from the Monument Valley entrance, There is a grocery store, gas station and a nice gift shop and restaurant on or near the Goulding Lodge. The cabin was nice and private, and we liked it. However, the coffee maker did not work and had some grey looking powdery residue -
