The concrete stairs are way more than the 7 in maximum stair height and it makes it very difficult getting up and down and in and out of the cabins. Also they're not level I couldn't believe that something basic like that was not mitigated.

Gorgeous convenient location when I'm in town

Spectacular view of the lake. Accommodation is right on the water. Our room was gorgeous with thoughtful details in the styling (traditional cabin) and amenities (like make up removal wipes). A great stay! And a bonus sample of home made cinnamon scrolls.

We had to move to another cabin to accommodate our pomeranian's. We then had to pay an extra $175. We were probably the first of the season to rent this cabin as the floors were gritty and the window sills full of bugs and cobwebs. Windows needed cleaning. There was no staff as it was Monday and Tuesday early in the season and we understand ... but WHY CHARGE US EXTRA! My husband has cancer and we needed to relax and get away with our dogs. I'm so tired of the travel industry taking advantage of us when we travel with our dogs. Too much money for too little service. No staff. Not human.

Cabin was spacious. Loved the comfortable couch and table. The TV was great and working. The bed was clean and comfortable. Very cozy. We loved sitting on the front porch even though it was raining. Having a bathroom with shower was wonderful.

Never saw any employees & no clear direction to find my room. Finally saw a small map of the rooms on the desk. Map of layout needs to be more prominent. Also too many lights outside over night. I came to the Adirondacks for Astro Photography and ended up having to walk out a bit from the hotel to get to a darker area.

We travel with our dog, so we understand that pet friendly locations will not be 5-star. With that being said, we were a little disappointed in some amenities. 1. About the room: We stayed in a 2-Queen room with mountain view. Upon arrival, we noticed the carpet was stained, the blanket covers for the beds were stained and had other dog hair coated on it. (Yes, it is very hard to get rid of all of the dog hair). The bathroom was dated and the shower had a crack that it appeared to have used caulking to seal it. 2. About amenities: We chose this location because it had an on-site restaurant. So our first night, we were planning to eat at the restaurant. After searching for any employee, we learned it had closed for the month of April. There were no signs, updates on social media, or anything indicating this. 3. About pricing: I originally booked this room through Booking.com as I usually do with most bookings. I called to confirm my booking and to let them know we would be bringing my pet. I originally booked a King Room. When I called, I was told I would need to change my room to a pet friendly one (completely understand), but to move to a Queen Room (or pet friendly room in general), I had to pay $111.90 additional, plus the $75 pet fee. The cheaper option was a double room and the more expensive was a King room. I almost cancelled my reservation, but wanted to give this place a chance. Overall, the almost $500 (in the off season) we paid did not match the amenties offered. The saving grace of this place was location as stated before.

Overall the location was the best feature of this location. It was on the lake with amazing views and was only 10 minutes to Old Forge which had all of the restaurants and shops. As pet-friendly travelers, we appreciate when a location allows us to bring our dog. We noticed there were other pet travelers. The location even had a dog park to let your pets loose which we took advantage of. We enjoyed sitting on the lake and enjoying the views. The location had fire pits to enjoy a fire in front of which we also used. This location is also close to hiking trails such as a Bald Mountain and the Fire Tower. We did not do much hiking this trip as I was still recovering from an ankle injury.

The very small shower had hair on the wall from the last guest. The room was very cold when I first got there, this was fixed quickly by staff with a portable heater. With all the electronics we use now only 3 open outlets with 2 not fully working(TV plugged in to one and the other half not working, the coffee maker and mini fridge plugged into the one behind the desk and one by the bed was spoty as the plug in it had to be adjusted to get power) and I had to use the one in the bathroom as that was the closest to the desk available.

The staff was very responsive and friendly while solving the 2 issues I had when there that I reported to them. The food at the Lean-To was excellent and the bartender personable, I would bet the she is the reason they are so popular as she is quick with the service yet makes time for everyone to feel welcomed.

Rooms (carpet and bathroom) could be cleaner. Could use new pillows. Sink in our room #24was terrible it was installed backwards and sprays everywhere. The installed toiletry dispensers in the shower were very clearly filled with water. You may as well just get rid of them . The TV was very difficult to navigate (numerous other guests were looking for help with theirs as well ). Getting into the room was a bit of hassle; if the room is already clean and ready the code should work. Was not aware of the little breakfast inside the lobby. Just happened to stumble upon it when there was really nothing left. Food was not great at the lean-to this visit. They were out of numerous items; fish was greasy, jukebox screen broken. There did not seem to be a staff member available on site for the hotel. Myself and other guests had to contact the restaurant where we then had to wait for somebody to arrive to help with our needs.

Comfy bed. Clean linens, beautiful lobby they should do more to promote hanging out there and let people know about the little breakfast set up.

Beautiful property and room itself was very comfortable EXCEPT the VERY hot water/shower cuts on and off AND the temperature control for the rooms is out In hallway and our room was waaay too hot. We had the windows open and thankfully there was a small portable fan. It was down in the 30’s and 40’s at night.

Would love easier hot water. Even after we ran the hot water it only warmed to luke warm. Would like an easier setup to use my computer in the bedroom. Had to work off the bed.

Would love for the breakfast to be available in the dining room where there were tables to sit and eat. Would love that there could have been some hot breakfast choices like hot oatmeal, eggs, french toast. The scenery is phenomenal. Everything is clean and neat. Love that we could bring our little dog.

Hoped for a Sandy beach….but instead you can walk down to dock and there’s a mini access there. Add a extra table and chair in double rooms.

Great Pines was located between Old Forge and Inlet, both cute towns. Lake Views from the property were lovely. Bring a few fold up chairs if you go, there’s a nice platform to sit on and see the water.

Keurig was not found in my room at check in. Had to go to front desk and request one. I would advise this item as a check off to be sure it is in the room before check in. So time was wasted hunting down a keurig for my stay with family.
