I went all night without any heat. When I turn the heater on, I heard a loud pop and smoke started coming out of the heater.

The location was very convenient to the airport. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were spacious and clean.

Breakfast was blah. No syrup for waffles. Your options were cereal, a waffle, yogurt, or oatmeal. Has a breakfast station set up that is empty so pretty much for decoration. They're just changing over so things will change I'm sure but overall still 8 out of 10 for the money.

There was nothing I didn't like. (even the BREAKFAST did the job--but it wasn't a HAMPTON INN great breakfast--but they "got U goin' in the A.M."--with a Starter Breakfast until you got down the Road to a good lunch to fill the empty space in ur tummy... Like "FISH or STEAK" for your Lunch on beautiful, serene GALVESTON ISLAND, TEXAS. Get the picture?

Certainly one of the Best Medium-Price value deals in the Houston Hobby area. FYI. There are a lot of "dumpy" low cost BRAND NAME HOTELS which don't measure up to their logo. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!! It is a TRUE VALUE in this "overused/abused/run down" former FIRST AIRPORT for civilians in the HouTex Metro... The Staff showed extreme COMPASSION in addition to their WELL-KEPT HOTEL and adequate FREE BREAKFAST!! I even saw/witnessed 3 women supervisors & managers meeting one morning OVER A STRAY DOG/unaccounted--for a little DOG --i.o.w. how to find a SAFE PLACE for this tiny WHITE CHIHUAHUA who was LOST in the HOTEL PARKING LOT right next to BUSY INTERSTATE HWY 45...very close to this raging, mucho traffico, INTERSTATE where this little white dog cd easily have DASHED ON TO and DIED!!! In my opinion, these three employees WENT WAY BEYOND DUTY in saving this tiny dog's LIFE and hooking up if the DOG belonged to one of the HOTEL'S GUESTS?!!! WOW! If THEY, the Staff, were trying to SAVE a LITTLE DOG'S LIFE along w/ their OTHER DUTIES, then THINK HOW WELL THE STAFF WD. TREAT YOU, if YOU had a problem while staying HERE!!! HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THAT CONCERN IN A HOTEL BEFORE? I was AMAZED when I brought it to THEIR ATTENTION that there was a LITTLE LOST DOG RUNNING AROUND THEIR SOUTHSIDE PARKING LOT!! They said: "Oh, yeah Dan--thanks for telling us--and they were already ON TOP OF IT!! :-) I was "blown away" BY THAT!!! It blew my mind to actually SEE a Hotel Staff who CARED about a LOST DOG!! GREAT NIGHT'S SLEEP, btw, especially since it is SO CLOSE to I-45 "Going to GALVESTON" Southbound I-45 is AS BUSY AS IT GETS with all the folks wanting to go down to GALVESTON'S BEACHES.

I mentioned to the front desk that the coffee machine was missing the coffee filter holder. Also, there was no coffee either - but it was never replaced during my 4-night stay. Coffee was not provided either so it would not have mattered! There was a sticky stain on the carpet in the main walkway thro the room, in front of the coffee machine, but this was also not cleaned. The shower mixer did not work. it was fixed on HOT. Breakfast was supposed to be 06h00 onwards, but in fact the staff only reported to work at 06h00, so by 06h10 there was barely even coffee on the counter. Cereals and waffle making etc were barely available before 06h15. My pick-up in the mornings was 06h10 so it meant i missed out on breakfast. No big deal, but irritating, when part of the selection process in choosing a hotel is the availability of breakfast.

This hotel has good potential. Check-in staff very good - Elise was professional and communicated very well. The room was fine, but ruined by a couple of issues which were not fixed. see below. Otherwise, the hotel is well positioned, nice open area in front of the reception with a glass fronted elevator going all the way to the top floor - very nice. The room was clean, bed comfortable with 3 nice pillows, and bathroom very good, with soap and shampoo dispensers etc. all good. I would go there again if i could get a room where everything worked, and on a trip where i did not have to leave so early.

Breakfast was loaded with carbohydrates and no protein items a few yogurts we offered. Restocking of depleted items OJ etc was slow or non-existent. No decaf coffee was offered at all. The attitude of the attendant left much to be desired.

Breakfast is good if you go at 6am but if you hear there at 8am most things have been finished and given been restocked. The ladies will refill if you ask at front desk. The pool even though it's half indoors was really cold so we didn't swim. Would be good for summer though. Was super clean. The spa didn't have water in it. Tye location is OK but a fair way out of town so you will need a car. Good for the space center and Keemah Boardwalk though.

The ladies at front desk were super helpful anytime we needed something. The room is clean but the carpets were stained and just needs an update in general.

I stayed 3 days and 3 nights and they never came up to clean the room, they didn't change the towels or the sheets on the beds. I asked for soap and they gave me a little glass so I could drink it.

The room had mold and the ac was too noisy, they only clean the rooms upon request, the pool has a very strong chlorine smell as there is no air circulating inside and the outside stairs are all broken Breakfast was not on time so it was difficult to catch it before going to work They should have a little more care for the property and this would make it a better stay

Upon check-in, the gentleman at the front desk lacked a sense of urgency. Apparently, our rooms were not available (which is odd because I spoke to staff two hours prior to checking in who found our reservations and confirmed) and he had to go “find space.” He left us standing at the front desk on occupied for over 30 minutes, afterwords, the lobby was filled with 6 to 7 other customers. Once he returns, there was no urgency or consideration for peoples time. After we received our key cards, we entered our rooms to find that there was zero towels available. We kindly asked hospitality and received a lot of attitude. One staff member stated, “he already knows, we told him.” However, he did not tell us this when we checked in. Once I spoke to front desk guy, again, about the situation, he stated that we would “get towels when we get towels and if that was a problem that we could go to Walmart and purchase our own.” Which we did because we had been traveling for over 8 hours and everyone needed a shower.  Lastly, the hotel had a cleanliness problem. There was trash overflow in all trashcans, inside and outside. Also, my sister and mother found an “insect” in their room during our last day (the day we checked out). All of this was discussed with the property manager (Yesenia) and she profusely apologized for our experience as she was unaware and did not work that weekend. She did provide excellent customer service and compensation.

I liked the location. My family and I went to Houston to attend Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. The hotel was less than 15 minutes from the stadium. Also, there was plenty of shopping and food options very close by. We did encounter some not so peasants things during our stay. However, at checkout, I was able to speak with the property manager, Yesenia and she was extremely professional, accommodating and respectful. We were able to resolve our issues. I can’t wholeheartedly. Say I would stay there again if I return to Houston. If Yesenia is still the property manager, I would strongly consider it.

Too much noise because the windows (I guess) are not sound proof and you can hear the airplanes, cars on the freeway, emergency trucks, etc. The fridge is so small that even a wine bottle doesn't fit inside. The pool is really cold There is not a heater to warm the water. The towels are nasty and they look really, really, not seriously really old, with stains and rips. There is not a real gym, only a few elliptical machines and the breakfast does not exist. If you are lucky and there is a responsible employee as Alex at the front desk you can have some coffee, waffles and cereal but once again to be a 3 star hotel there is too much lack of service.

To be a 3 star hotel actually is hard to say what do I like but if I have to give a good review is just because Alex, Brianna and Isis are doing an extra mile for this property unfortunately Sarah the other front desk lady is not in the same track, also I think the housekeeping crew are doing a good job even with the limitations. Hopefully the management thinks about improving the service before they increase the rates

It was an older version of a former popular hotel. The arms on the chairs in dining area were dark with filth. But I just got up and sat in one without arms.

Location, friendly staff, continental bread, and free ride to the airport 24/7.
